Punching Lightning In The Face (Tanalth)

The creature known as Darth Raijin was perfectly calm, at the moment. This hotel, despite being on Bothawui, was modeled after an Atrisian inn, with a small rock garden and lots of fountains. The groundkeepers would periodically rake the small stones into new patterns, each as beautiful and serene as the last.

Strangely, for a person in a droid body, Rai was enjoying the hot tub more than anything else. He didn't have to worry much about water damage to his new body, nor did he have to worry about his Shard body cracking from the heat like some crystals would. The heat on the metal of his 'skin' felt amazing, and very relaxing. He could've sat there the whole day, if not for the young Bothan who came up to him, politely ordering him, "M'lord, I believe somebody is looking for you. I sent him to your room, but you were down here."

The Shard looked at the other man for a moment, and then stood up and got out of the hot tub as he replied, "I'll be there in a minute."

As the Bothan had told of [member="Darth Raijin"] 's visitor someone had been watching from above. Oddly enough it was in the room where Raijin had been staying in. Whoever his mysterious guest was they had their own agenda to keep to. All they did was leave something awaiting the shard on the table in the room was a disc. A note was attached to it simply saying "Find her."
When Darth Raijin would watch there would be a number of news reports from a few days ago on the holovid all edited together. All told of the same event. A large fight had broken about between what seemed like two Gen'dai, or creatures similar to the at least, on Courascant. The devastation had spanned at least an entire block in the Undercity. The footage would show buildings destroyed, fires brewing and everything around smashed. Every little clip that showed the two Gen'dai was edited as well. While a few brief glimpses of a male were seen the focus was on one that seemed female. Burning yellow eyes. Red skin, matching the male's, long dark hair and a powerful body. Whoever 'she' was it was clear that was what the note was referring to.
Once the footage stopped only one word was shown on the screen: Cato Nemiodia. There was no sing or last message left by the mystery man. Whoever he was he left the message plain and simple.
(This is actually a reference in Tana's back story. Thought it would help lol)

As Raijin climbed upstairs to his room, he sensed... somebody. He very carefully tried to move silently so he could catch whoever it was in his room, but by the time he got there, there was only a holodisc and a very direct-sounding note. He supposed that if he actually put the disk in the player, he'd find out who "her" referred to. So, he put the disc into the projector and watched.

The majority of the disk was patched-together news reports - all focusing on one incident... A fight between two red-skinned individuals that had leveled several large buildings. As the recording went on to zoom in on one of the combatants, a red-skinned woman, it became pretty obviously clear that she was who the note referred to. While the rest of the recording played out, Rai began getting his gear together.

The Lightning Knight was strapping his oversized lightsaber to his back when he saw something interesting: A familiar face. Kezeroth Barcu, one of the warlords who'd joined Romeo Sin in his Shadow Dynasty's bid for power, along with Bond himself. If this woman he was fighting was doing anywhere near as much damage to him as it looked, that indicated that she was a Gen'dai, too.

Rai took the disk out and slipped it into a pocket on his belt. This search was going to get interesting.

(Yeah, I appreciate it, actually. I wouldn't have thought to mention Kezeroth, even though Rai met him during the whole Rapture thing.)

Upon arrival on Cato Nemodia, the place where the disc had said the red woman Tanalth would be, [member="Darth Raijin"] would of course need to ask around. Although it wouldn't be hard for anyone to remember a giant red woman walking around one of the bridge cities. Almost every other person he would ask would claim to have seen her, describing her as a towering beauty but with a violent or rude attitude. They would point in one general direction or another but never had the exact area as to where she was. That is until he came towards less localized area of one city where, upon asking the next person he could, the shard would discover that Tanalth was actually staying at a nearby hotel.
The building itself wasn't every tall and it was clear not any people were staying there. Either before or after Tanalth had settled in herself was unclear but at least it meant no one nosing about. A quick ask about and the room were Tanalth was given. Now it was just a matter of how Dart Raijin would approach this.

Most of the ride to Cato Nemodia was spent with Raijin's ship on autopilot, and analyzing the recordings for anything that could possibly be relevant to finding this woman. Obviously, she was tall, red-skinned, and relatively attractive. And, as was par for the course with Gen'dai, resilient and able to deal out some serious punishment. Less obvious was the fact that she was simply punching things, but Rai made a mental note to dodge those fists if it came to that.

When his ship landed a few hours later, he put on his usual jeans and combat boots, as well as a belt with a few pockets full of gadgets and nasty surprises and a couple of blasters. Over this, he wore a long robe with a hood to cover his folded 'head wings' and held the long handle of his greatsaber as a fake cane. As he walked off the ship, into the spaceport, he hunched like an old man and began walking. The weapon's spiked pommel clacked against the ground and left tiny cuts in the less sturdy areas of the pavement as Rai moved towards the city proper.

When [member="Darth Raijin"] would finally come to where Tanalth was staying, the hotel room mentioned before, she would answering dressed in nothing but a long dark robe that covered what might have been her naked body. She had to bend down and poke her head out from under the door frame in order to see him as she looked down. Her towering figure loomed over him while her pure yellow burning eyes examined the stranger before her. She cocked her head to the side as her hands came to her hips, clearly confused to the point of annoyance about something.
"Do I know you?" she asked. "Or...wait. Are you the one I ordered for? Because I wanted a twi'lek."

Raijin didn't even try to keep his composure. He pulled his hood down and spread his arms out in a gesture of total exasperation as he strapped his greatsaber to the back of his belt. The wings on his head popped back up, and he replied in a rather sarcastic tone, "Tell me, Big Red, do I look like a lady of the night? I think the answer would be no. And I'm not a droid, so don't even-"

He looked around, a little bit embarrassed, and sighed, "Okay, maybe I should start over. My name's Raijin. I was supposed to find you."

After [member="Darth Raijin"] gave his first little remark Tanalth became ever more annoyed at him. It didn't help when he tried to start over and explain why he was here. The moment he finished she slammed the door in his face. It was quiet for a minute before she opened it again to look at him and ask "What do you mean 'find me'? Who sent you?"

Raijin shrugged and held up the disk. There were a few indications as to who had sent the cryptic message, but none of them were enough to seriously convince him of anything. As for finding her... Well, he'd found her, but it wasn't like he'd be transmitting her location to anybody. Besides the fact that he'd seen what could happen when somebody pissed her off, she was one: not actively trying to hurt him, and two: in what looked like a nightgown. He wasn't going to just randomly send some half-naked woman on a rampage, no matter what his job was. He answered, "Like I know. All I got for this job was this disk. Finding you wasn't the hardest thing to do, for a number of reasons."

His answer didn't exactly help. She looked at the disk before taking it herself, examining it closely as it to spot some hidden message or clue on it. Nothing really. She even smelled it, but that just had the same reaction. She then shrugged and tossed it aside into her room before looking to [member="Darth Raijin"] and saying "Well you found me. So what now? I guess if you were going to kill me you wouldn't just be standing there. So what exactly do you want?"

Raijin thought about it for a moment... What was he even here for? Why was he having this conversation, even? The whole find her bit could've been considered done when he entered the building. Something about this woman bugged him a little, though. It wasn't her hair, although he'd never seen a Gen'dai with hair. It wasn't the nightgown, although that did bug him a tiny bit. Why'd she have to answer the door in that? He simply replied, "I dunno. Something about you seems to be poking my brain in the face, and I can't figure out what. From what I saw on the disc, you quite clearly fight well, and it's pretty obvious you're some sort of Gen'dai, or else Barcu would've made you into a big red puddle."

He shrugged again and continued, "And, I suppose, out of professional curiosity... I'd sort of like to know who sent me this job."

She folded her arms as he spoke, telling how he seemed interested to know about her. The mention of Barcu, who was of course her clone, had made her huff out of annoyance. After that she just stood there and listened to him mention finding out whoever sent him the job in the first place. She mumbled to herself that she wanted to know too before eventually sighing. She reached out, seized his shoulder, and gave him a violent shove into her room while saying "Well just don't stand there. Come in already."
Her room was an utter mess. Broken furniture and cracks in the wall. Clothing all over and food sitting in places. Basically not the best of places to stay yet Tanalth didn't seem bothered as she took a seat on the couch, taking up all of it in the process. "So what exactly do you do?" she asked [member="Darth Raijin"]

Of course, despite all his failed attempts to keep his composure, Raijin fell directly on his face when the red-skinned woman pushed him into the room. As he picked himself off the ground, he wished he had eyeballs to roll. The room looked like a hurricane hit it. And, he guessed from what he'd already seen of its occupant, one might as well have.

He sat on the one other piece of intact furniture, which seemed to be some kind of extremely sturdy coffee table, as he answered the question, "Well, I used to be a Sith. And now I'm an Imperial Knight, or something... Basically, I spend most of my time trying to make enough money to keep my ship running and myself out of the hands of those maniacs on Coruscant. And, I'm also apparently a Darth, somehow. Whatever that means."

Rai tilted his head at an angle as he leaned against the wall the table was next to and finished, "Didn't ask your name, by the way... Calling you Big Red would probably be annoying for you. It already is for me."

"Not really." she said in response to being called 'Big Red'. "I've been called worse. But you might as well just call me Tanalth for now."
She took in the fact he used to be a Sith, now unsure of what he was exactly. Even she didn't know, given she hadn't seen shards before. And apparently he was something of an Imperial knight as well, something she was vaugly familiar with if that. She stretched herself out as she tried to think on who or why he was sent here. Apparently all he did was work to get by, not too different from what she did. Though she had her own deeper agendas in mind.
"What sort of stuff do you do exaclty? When you're not knokcing on people's doors and all?"
[member="Darth Raijin"]

Tanalth. Nice name. Less flashy than he was expecting from a Gen'dai, for sure. Most of them seemed to go for scary-sounding names that sounded like the names of planets or evil animals or whatever. But who was he to judge? He'd taken a name that meant "Lightning God"... Whatever. He looked up at the ceiling as he spoke again, "Well, I don't really do much. I spend whatever I don't use on my ship either tinkering with machinery or going on vacation. It's just the occasional job for the Knights or when I pick up jobs that look interesting that I actually get up and do a lot of legwork."

As he started she was getting bored but perked when he mentioned tinkering with things. She sat up and asked "Tinker? With what? Armor? Weapons? Has to be if you're carrying all that stuff on you." She waited a moment before insisting "Well start talking, robo. I second ago you wouldn't stop!"
[member="Darth Raijin"]

Tanalth's reaction to the word 'tinkering' both surprised and impressed Raijin. So, at least she wasn't a total muscle head... Or she was at least a muscle head with an appreciation of technology. He made a general gesture towards his body and replied, "Well, dunno why you're suddenly interested, but I made this body. Sort of a big battery so I can use my lightning better. Can't entirely claim credit for this lovely old thing, though."

He drew the hilt of his lightsaber from its clamp on his back, and showed it to the red-skinned woman as he finished, "My former master shaped this for me... But I made it into the weapon it is."

She looked when he mentioned his body, seeing how well crafted it was. Really she'd not taken such notice before but, given the circumstances, now she was a bit more interested. Then she'd seen his weapon which had gained even more attention from her. She leaned forward and took a better look at it, reaching out and drawing her finger down it to feel the crafting. It was then she asked "Could you make something for me? Something like this...but different?"
[member="Darth Raijin"]

Raijin thought about it. It was a fair bet that he was not going to get access to wintrium anytime soon enough to make another weapon from it, but... He could make plenty of other kinds of weapons. And he was pretty good with exotic weapons, too, what with all the ones he'd collected over the last few years.

Plus, he hadn't seen anything inherently bad about this woman so far, except that she had the latent aggression of a rancor... But that didn't necessarily make her not worth helping. So, he nodded as he replied, "Yeah, 'course I can. Just won't be made out of this glassy stuff. That's rare... and lightsaber resistant. What kind of thing were you thinking of?"

When he asked what she wanted Tanalth looked around for a moment before finding a pen and paper. She started to doddle while saying "I'm thinking something....big. Something heavy. Something that'll match my....personality. And something that'll match that honking big axe Kezeorth has." Eventually she finished what she drew and showed him, saying "Something like this." The doddle itself was rather bad. It was a sloppy picture of herself smashing what looked like Kezeroth with an over-sized hammer. There was a second picture that had a larger, and a bit better, picture of the hammer she wanted.
