Having successfully established that there was a way to Mortis, a way that could in fact be accessed from Abeloth’s Planet, it was now time to do something with her carefully gotten gains. The Well of the Dark Side was always an effervescent bastion of power, a place whose prolonged exposure had the ability to taint any Jedi within it. With the power of the Dark Side flowing through Mortis in such a way as to make it the bastion of infernal power it was, Vanessa believed it could be effectively harnessed against the oncoming abominations that were the Bryn’adul.

So it was that she stood in the hangar, waiting patiently for the one who had proffered his assistance to come so the work could begin.

The Dark was palpable, even from where he dropped out of hyperspace. The Son watched as the planet arrived. Behind his expressionless mask he was grinning. The dark side was so strong. So wonderfully strong. And this experiment to make it into a weapon? It was something he absolutely got behind. He calmly exited his ship and gave a nod to his host. " Onrai Onrai . A pleasure to meet you in person. Shall we begin?" He raised an arm, signaling for the Sith Lord to take the lead. This was her project after all.

Finally, it was time for her inquisitorial cohort to arrive. Vanessa watched as the ship of the Second Son landed in the hangar bay and he emerged to meet her. A capable Darksider - not as powerful as she was by any means, but the most important thing to this ritual was not power, only motivation. She smiled as he motioned to her and offered her hand - it was time to pull a trick out of her sleeve, something to spook and awe the Inquisitor in order to more effectively soften him up for assistance in the ritual itself. A have was proffered to him in association. “Please take my hand, then we can begin more work on the ritual in question.”
