To say she knew what she was doing would have been a lie. Mi'la often flew with little thought for what her overall goal was. In this case, she merely wanted to find this lost jedi frontier world; or at least it had been. Well, she had done it, sort of, but an issue with her sublight drive was presenting itself as she found her ship hurtling out of lightspeed, Alarms blared in her cockpit, as she blew a stabilizer, her N-Wing now a streaking ball of flame as it burned into the atmosphere of the world, the Twi'lek pilot struggling for control, as her ship tumbled. To any who watched from down below, it seemed as if a star was falling down to the planet, as Mi'la's ship was coming in too fast, leaving her struggling to pull up out of a dive, as her speed indicator was flashing alerts at her. "I know, I know..." She muttered, managing to disengage the sublight drive, and deploying her maneuver flaps, manuevring jets along the bottom and sides of the ship began to fire, and succeeded in dropping the ships speed, just in time as Mi'la was able to break out of her stall, being thrown about her seat in the process. Alarms still blared loudly, as she skimmed just over a cluster of rock formations, and was forced to bank hard to avoid what might have one been a formidable hill, before pulling up high, her speed having dropped rapidly from her movements, but she was in desperate need for a landing.
She gave a quick glance around, but there was no time, her ship was struggling to stay up now, as with her drive disengaged, she only maneuvering jets and flaps to keep herself going, as well as her build up of momentum that was rapidly vanishing. There was an urge to panic, to simply react and not think, but Mi'la did no such thing. Taking a breath, she accepted that as bad as her situation might be, she was not dead yet. Her panic, gave way to calm, as she fell into the open arms of the force, and found her hands working the controls without thought. She was no longer a pilot within a ship, she was the ship, and the ship was now an extension of herself. Eyes closed, she had no idea where she was going, or how this would unfold, but as she felt her ship land roughly against the planet, she waited for baited breath for that to be her last, and opened to find she had landed in one piece.
Sighing deeply, she immediately moved to open her cockpit, and glance at what she had found, and halted. A large and aged structure laid before her, reminding her of some art of the temple of Jedha, but this appeared even older as she marveled at it. Indeed she took several long moments, before realizing she needed to work out what was wrong with her ship.
Fumbling with her tools, she plugged her data reader into the COMP port, and frowned at the series of problems that were relayed back to her. She wasn't stuck here, but, she'd have to do some work on her sublight drive before she'd see home again.
Well, least she had made it in one piece. Prying off her helmet, she set it inside, and began to remove her flight suit, revealing her more suitable attire underneath. If she was going to explore, she wasn't going to go about it wearing body armor after all.
