The Lecture Room
The Lecture Room looks like a good place to train today. Jedi Knight Tempest Yore had recently met a young Padawan [member=Natalia Kess] during her induction among the Jedi of the Dominion. She thought the young girl of perfect age to perfect her Core skills, and begin to expand her knowledge of the Force, introducing Sense abilities into the mix. It would not surprise Tempest to learn that Natalia already knows how to perform some of these skills, yet maybe only hasn't developed an awareness that she has already utilized them during her lifetime. Due to Natalia's young age, Tempest felt it best to offer her compete attention during a private session. She reserved a block of time for training, but that does not guarantee there will not be any interruptions.
Donning the customary Jedi robe, but of pale blue and white, Tempest stood in the center of the open area of the room and got right down to business. She bowed towards the Padawan to begin the session and then cast a smile her way.
"The first thing I would like to show you is how to utilize Force Sight. This skill is important so that you can now have concrete evidence to strengthen your belief in the Force as Dogma describes it. It is not just some abstract energy we merely believe in. Force Sight provides proof that the Force does in fact exist. It has a fabric, which can be seen as much as intuitively sensed. You will see how Jedi manipulate it to perform a skill. It will visually appear calm and repetitive, rhythmic. Some day you will be able to see how a Darksider corrupts its natural state. They break down and destroy the naturally smooth webbings of the Force and manipulate it to contort it into a chaotic formation."
Tempest emanated a sense of peacefulness. "Calm your mind. When you are ready, close your eyes," she guided, her voice patient and melodic.
"Expand your senses to feel for the peace of the Light of the Force. It exists in and around everything, webbed throughout everything we know to be in existence. It also fills the vast void of space. It links us all together throughout the Universe. Just as one event often suffers ripples of effects upon things surrounding it, the Force also allows us to know when something is not right far off in the distance. It lends us instinct, gives us premonitions, calls us to action as Jedi. For now, let us simply look upon it within this very room."
Tempest closed her eyes as well, as she stood facing the Padawan. "Let go of your physical barriers. Imagine a vast spider's web settling across the interior of the entire room. Expand your mind to allow for numbering every line, every crossing intersection. See the energy as it glistens, breathes, like living dew drops ricocheting back and forth between every individual segment. It reaches across the room, from corner to corner, edge to edge. Now allow that image to replicate layer upon layer, top to bottom, every inch intertwined."
The Knight reached out across the distance between herself and Natalia, and she lent the assistance of her ability to guide her student in achieving her goal, to first witness the energy of the Force throughout the room. When she felt the instinct that Natalia was relaxed and focussed enough to see through the Force, she encouraged, "Open your eyes and see the living Force which surrounds us."
