Not a Hero
Location : The Concord
Commander Calderon finished wrapping the last of his athletic tape around his wrists and hands, being sure that the protective wrap wasn't too tight by flexing both hands out and into a fist several times over. He'd bring his gaze up from his hands to a small viewport ahead of him. There wasn't much for sightseeing out in empty space, at least not in this sector. The Nebel class frigate drifted slowly, its skeleton crew on standby for the 'main' shift of crewmembers to awaken from their slumber before their next patrol route or mission.
However, Valkren was not anywhere close to sleeping. The past few weeks away from Kashyyyk had called for some new routines to keep them busy. This was a tough idea to go through with, as the Concord wasn't designed for leisure; so after the arrival of Valkren's special forces attachment to the vessel, many of them took their own time 'customizing' supply rooms and bays within the ship.
This room had been one of two workout areas. This one specifically reminded the commander of the 'pit' back on Kashyyyk, an outdoor gym smack dab in the middle of Ranger HQ. Weights and extra equipment lined the walls, with hooks in several locations spaced out to attach dummy bags for exercises.
Valkren did use this room for his own personal workouts, but more than often he had taken up a workout partner in [member="Tyrell Caphey"]. The two had made a habit of fitting in special sparring and boxing exercises whenever they could.
In truth, the routine was one of the things that helped keep the commander pushing through the extended patrol routes.
The commander patted his fists together a few times while walking over towards one of the equipment racks, giving the items available a brief scan over during his wait for the team medic.
