Put It on My Taanab

Beowoof

Morality Policeman :)
It was finally time for a breather. Taanab was a lovely place for that, being a peaceful farm world and all.

A horrifying crash and two invasion runs later, and the rutian twi'lek was able to take a trip back to where her T-16 had landed. Well... 'landed'. It had been a very violent landing. A good twenty percent of the craft had been immediately scrapped, unsalvageable by the repairmen.

And now it was ready to run again. It was so good to be back with her Jenny, the Skyhopper she had learned to fly on--and back in pristine condition. The locals sure knew how to value an aircraft. They also knew how to charge for the restoration of such an aircraft. There went her savings.

The good news was that Ensign Sressechka had been assigned to a trainee, one Jedi type by the name of [member="Ul'Rikk Petraa"]. She would be taking him for a spin in her T-16 and showing him the ropes a bit, then letting him have a run--assuming he had gone through some simulator hours prior. If he had not, they might have a problem. She was not going to let an utter greenhorn take the controls of her newly-refurbished aircraft. Not a chance.

With goggles pulled up against her forehead, the Republic's Angel Leader awaited the arrival of this Ul'Rikk guy. She had only met a Jedi once before, and she was hoping he was a little less aloof than the last one had been. She was teacher today.

Ul'Rikk had just exited the fleet entering Taanab. He stepped off the small passenger extension of the larger carrier stationed just off the planet. He looked around, the green scenery before his eyes shocked him. He knew Taanab was green but this was...green. Life everywhere, trees as high as republic towers, it was an incredible planet. He walked through the terminal and into a large lounge, filled with bars, and interesting choices of foods. Ul'Rikk pulled his hood back and pulled out his data pad, a blue holo-map lit up in front of him. He was where he was supposed to be....he thought. He was extremely honored to meet Sressechka, everytime he looked at her title he felt a pit form in his stomach. He wanted more than anything to make the best impression. He wanted this meeting, and training to go as best as it possibly could go.

She said something about a T-16 he would train in. Ul'Rikk had seen pictures of them, but obviously had never flown. He was both nervous and excited.

He looked back down at his map, then back up and around him.

"Hmmmm...."

Sressi noted the Cathar lumbering into the lounge area and glanced down at her datapad. She was not exactly the best at matching faces, but who else could it be? She hoped it was him. He was a little late. A lot of the most promising pilots are a little late to meetings--at least, when they do not involve actually preparing for a real fight.

The short stunt-pilot-turned-fighter-pilot sauntered up to the newly arrived feline and casually took a seat next to him. She was sporting a bomber jacket with some X-Wing patches on it, so she hoped it would be quite obvious to him who she was--if he was the right guy. She was still fairly certain it was him, especially as she got closer.

Leaning her left elbow against the chair back, the rutian fighter pilot placed her other hand against her waist and inquired, "Here for some flight school?"

@Ul'Rikk Petraa

Ul'Rikk sat looking around. His feline ears twitched front and back. He hadn't thought of simply looking right beside him before he was suddenly startled. A young Twi'lek sat next to him. Ul'Rikk jumped a little.

"Uh, yes. Yes. I am." He uttered rather awkwardly. He knew it was her, no mistake, goggles, jacket, fighter patches. She definitely was the pilot everyone has said she was.

Ul'Rikk quickly reached his hand to Sressechka in a welcoming way. "Its an honor to meet you" Ul'Rikk said with a beaming smile, adjusting himself in his seat awkwardly.
