- Unlimited Power: A starfighter-grade weapon somehow made compact enough to be wielded by infantrymen, the Annihilator packs one hell of a punch - more than enough to pose a threat to fortifications and armoured vehicles alike.
- Unlimited Power: Fuelled by a massive fusion cell taking up almost a third of the weapon's length, the Annihilator is able to fire no less than two hundred times without switching charges, compared to usually single-shot rocket launchers.
- Need for Speed: Exiting the barrel at truly immense velocities, the Annihilator's magnetically-sheathed fusion plasma bolts are far too fast for most targets to dodge - a skillfully aimed shot might even be able to take down a starfighter!
- Full Speed Ahead: The Annihilator's plasma bolts may be very, very fast... but they are by necessity completely unguided. Aim well.
- Waiting Game: While its ammunition capacity is "effectively unlimited" for most assignments, this is only because the damn thing takes a full minute to recharge after every single shot. It may be able to fire two hundred times on a single cell, but actually doing so would take over three hours!
- Backbreaker: Designed for starfighters, not people, even the inertial compensator Glimmersteel's engineers crammed into the design are unable to make firing it anything even remotely resembling pleasant. Humans should probably wear military-grade exoskeletons or the like, lest they risk stress damage to their own body with every shot fired. Even just carrying the damn thing is hard enough!
Inspired by the earlier Hellflare, which in turn was inspired by the smaller Sunfury, the Annihilator is... about what one would expect from the lunatics in Glimmersteel's Experimental Weapons division. Impractically large, unusually heavy, and with a recoil that kicks harder than most mules, no person in their right might would ever even consider wielding the weapon... if it were not for its immense firepower.
Designed to take out armoured vehicles, fortifications, war droids, and the like, the Annihilator is, in simple terms, a starfighter-grade Heavy Energy Torpedo launcher that has somehow been converted into a "handheld weapon" - though it should be noted that project manager refused to fire it herself without physically fixing it to ground or a vehicle, stating "while our health plan is good, I quite like my spine in one piece, thank you very much."
