The weapon was built and designed by Pyeth as part of a tradition undertaken by his Tribe and many others, with Rishii hunter-gatherers creating their own weapons. While many prefer slings to take natural advantage of their capacity for flight, Pyeth aimed for something a little more technological that could be used both in melee and from range if necessary. The spear is the result of those efforts and primarily served as a hunting tool as opposed to a weapon, nowadays it serves more as a symbol. A reminder for the reason for his exile and the home he left behind.
