- Minor - Q-7 Access portals
- Semi-Unique - Q-7 Regional Hub. Servers that manage secure access and house encryption systems

- Quantum entangled Septet Aurodium Ions on regional server end
- Electrical components
- The main secure server systems are housed in highly classified and well defended regional hubs that may be on Planetary locations or on very large capital ships.
- Servers are accessed by remote portals that re-authenticate their certificates with the server every few milliseconds, if for whatever reason the authentication is not received or is invalid then the remote portal will be locked out.
- Communication between portal and hub is maintained by state of the art highly encrypted transmission signals using Quantum Entanglement pairs which are difficult to intercept or interrupt.
- The actual encryption is provided by a 7 segmented Quantum Entanglement Septet that is housed in the regional hubs which activate in a chain to provide multiple points of test, these interactions are managed by powerful AI designed by Akemi that learn from intrusion attempts to better fight them.
- Larger, Independently secure HAPU | Hybrid Antimatter Power Unit provide power to servers and are arranged in a fashion that loss of power creates loss of access rather than loss of security.
- Extremely Secure: It is hard to say which form of digital security in the galaxy is the best, but this design competes well with its contemporaries. The Quantum Septets are not programs or machines that can be bargained with or coerced by powerful hackers, they are governed only by the laws of quantum physics
- Vast resources on site: The fact that the actual encryption is carried out on secure locations with high power and space resources means the system can dedicate a lot of power to security and can have vast data repositories if necessary, this enables the remote portals to be fairly minimalist in their size and power if desired.
- Local networking: The secure portal devices can easily be networked with other local digital units allowing a small number of portals based on, for example a Starship, to subsequently pass a portion of of their secure access to a larger number of devices. This does have its limits and the slave devices must adhere to extremely high standards of digital monitoring to be allowed to connect. House Io devices use their secure AI algorithms to connect. Non-Io devices need secure authorisation and require gold standard security such as Aegis SH13LD and Ironmaze
- Hub: The hub and spoke design does add a line of attack, despite the locations being amongst House Io's most closely guarded secrets and very well protected, they do have a physical location that can be found.
- And Spoke: Another attack line, the communication protocols, the information has to from the hub to the spokes so if this can somehow be blocked, then all portals will be prevented from re-authentication and therefore be locked out
- Dedicated portals required: The design means backwards compatibility with older devices is not possible. Older devices will either need to be locally networked with a portal device or have Q-7 portal units retrofitted into their hardware.
- Pairing required: Due to the use of Quantum entanglement transmission, every portal must be initially paired with a regional hub, this limits the speed at which the devices can be rolled out and less significant units may have none or only a small number of portals available
Akemi Io, designed primarily to deal with matters of digital performance and systems management felt in inappropriate for a House such as her own to not have a home grown digital security system. So, in collaboration with several AI's she designed and supervised the construction of this system.
Portals around the faction can be used to access the massive secure hubs using advanced Quantum entanglement Septets with AI learning systems. These hubs can store vast amounts of information for the device, but also provide authentication keys for the devices themselves to operate at all. This makes the portal devices extremely secure and there has been an almost zero transmission error rate during real world testing making the system incredibly reliable in use.
The authentication hubs, are referred to as regional hubs but in reality due to the nature of the connection they do not have to be near to the portal devices. They can be hidden secretly and securely, and run portals across the galaxy. The millisecond refresh rate of the authentication acts as an extremely effective security lock to any devices running the system.
