Q-ships anyone?

I may be willing to start a new character; said character would be running a shipyard which is, as of yet, a rather minor shipyard.

For more context: a Q-ship is an armed freighter or passenger ship, more heavily than would be common for normal freighters their size, but not as heavily armed as warships their size. As such, it would be able to deter all but the largest pirate ships from attacking.

Clients for such ships may be factions for whom the effect of surprise may matter, or it may also be shipping companies that fly through dangerous areas of space. Or factional VIPs.
