STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:

+ Natural Strength: Like all Trandoshans, Qaarssk had a biological build that is stronger than
a majority of other sentient species.

+ Biology: Qaarssk has the ability of using infrared vision to detect heat signatures and see in
the dark to an extent as well as regenerating lost limbs.

+ Stamina: Due to his few cybernetic respiratory organs, Qaarssk holds an enhanced stamina and is not easy to tire.

+/- Honor: As a part of his culture, Qaarssk believes in the Trandoshan goddess, the “Scorekeeper,” in which he has to take down valuable targets in order to earn points with the goddess. While this can give him determination in his goals, it can also cloud his vision.

- Ranged Combat: While being an efficient close range fighter, Qaarssk is ill-equipped to handle a blaster and could easily struggle against a longer ranged target.

- Electricity: Containing a few cybernetic implants, any sort of EMP or a general electric shock can essentially shut Qaarssk down and enter him into a state of cardiac impairment.

- Cold-Blooded: Even with a cybernetic hypothalamus that allows a degree of homeostasis to act against his biological character, Qaarssk still struggles to maintain himself in a cold environment.

APPEARANCE:

Qaarssk Roark looks like a typical member of the Trandoshan species, with murky green scaly skin. Although only 19 years old in galactic standard years, he is considered to be nearing middle age in terms of a Trandoshan’s lifespan. He has light red eyes that are capable of detecting heat signatures through infrared visions.

Despite once being covered in scarring from his cybernetic implantation procedure, he has regenerated his tissues and skin to the point of it being hardly noticeable without close examination. He is a tall figure, being able to match up to most others without a struggle in a fight.

BIOGRAPHY:

Born on the native Trandoshan planet of Trandosha, Qaarssk Roark was a member of a clan that once was the home of legendary Trandoshan hero Qyzen Fess. Despite the heroics for the Jedi Order that Qyzen was a part of, the majority of his clan members back on the barren planet still mostly followed the path of mercenaries and assassins. Once reaching maturity, most members chose to leave the planet in order to engage their own paths in their journey through life. The primary motivation for Trandoshans taking up the role of a mercenary or any form of aggressor in general relates back to their belief in the deity the Scorekeeper who sought to be appeased through killings of powerful targets. Through that, they would receive jaggannath points that determined their merit in life by those clan mates around them and their goddess.

The son of the tribe leader, Qaarssk was indoctrinated into the life of a hunter since the beginning of his life and proceeded to be the top hunter of his clan, building up points and bolstering his reputation. However, he was forbidden to leave Trandosha for his time of adolescence and awaited the day that he would finally reach adulthood in the Trandoshan culture so that he may finally pursuit a life of glory off of the planet. Until then, he had to deal with normal prey animal on the planet and held the opportunity on combating those within his own group as a means of showing off his own strength to those around him.

Eventually, he gained the opportunity of leaving his tribe behind and pursuing bigger ambitions through the galaxy. Temporarily he had moved to the well-known planet of Coruscant in order to look for the work in the mercenary market from those in the lower grounds and more crime infested areas of the planet's cities. At one point, he desired to enhance his own body through the work of illegal cybernetics and sought the services of an underground dealer to operate on him to enhance the thrill of the hunt to make him more of an effective killer. His implanted cybernetic heart and lungs allowed for an increase in energy from his natural form while various parts of the brain were augmented in order to allow him to bare certain environments more.

However, the life of a mercenary soon disgruntled him and he felt the idea of purposely listening to demands and hunting down those in the names of other insignificant beings was dishonoring to the Scorekeeper and that the goddess was actually against the choices of his kin in engaging in mercenary and bounty hunter work to earn credits. He decided to enter another path when he heard of the galactic influence of the Confederacy of Independent Systems and their need to skilled fighters to maintain judgement in their territories and beyond. He assured himself that his strive for a higher purpose would appease the Scorekeeper and allow him to surpass all other Trandoshans in their points for the goddess. After pledging his loyalty, he was an Executor for the Knights Obsidian of the Confederacy.
