- System Features: The Qi-Ko system is a small system on the edge of the Outer Rim, with a main sequence yellow star. It includes five planets, but only one is inhabitable. Qi-Ko is the second world in the system, with two moons of its own. An asteroid belt circles the outside edge of the system, with a series of nebulae demarcating the edge of the system.

- For the most part, Qi-Ko is a wild world, with very little sentient structures. However, close examination reveals that the entire planet is a massive permaculture undertaking, by the ancient Qi-Kans. Forests and abandoned villages coexist perfectly with each other, with no sense of separation between the two. Orchards and fields survive mostly intact, despite having no one to attend them for centuries. Great sculpted trees grow in beautifully balanced patterns as living works of art, while clearly carved artistic sculptures seem to have been grown right out of the mountainsides and peaks.
- Caverns: The bulk of the surviving evidence of the Qi-Kan society resides on the surface, in their permaculture, sculpture, and scattered villages, but further surveys by the Circle of the Light Hand revealed a massive network of interconnected caverns, lit throughout with bioluminescent moss. Walls are carved with runes and pictographs revealing some sort of history for scholars to examine and study.
- Heart-Tree: Qi-Ko has many massive trees, but one, in particular, seems to be the center of this organic culture. It rises thousands of meters into the atmosphere, with villages built within and around its many limbs, especially down towards the base, with smaller inhabitations towards the top.
- Abandoned monastery-villages: Scattered across the surface of the world are small villages built within a single complex, seemingly self-sufficient communities with their own permaculture in the area to support them. Expertly crafted, these are still standing and in perfect shape. Built in perfect harmony with the landscape, it is quite easy to completely overlook them without paying careful attention and knowing the signs to search for.
- Major Locations:
- Qi-Lan: The hub of Qi-Ko monastic society, this ancient monastery-village seems to have been abandoned before the Gulag plague, leaving nothing but the empty buildings behind. Not even baskets or pottery remained behind as if those who were leaving made sure to clean up everything before they vanished. The heart of the village seems to be a temple complex much like the kyber temple of Jedha.
- Crystal Cavern- Deep beneath Qi-Lan, accessible only be a complex tunnel network, likes a cavern complex. Separated from the rest of the caverns by some unknown means, this seems to be the only one on the planet yet discovered that houses kyber crystals.
- The Sealed Cavern- Not connected to the crystal cavern, at the heart of the Kwa-Il mountain range, is a cavern entrance sealed with a massive door, made into one piece of stone with the Force itself. No tool, not even a lightsaber, can scratch the surface, and no sensor can get a read through the material. Those strong in the Force, however, can sense faint life signs behind the door. Not in distress or fear, but simply present.
- The Heart-Tree: Unable to tell if the Heart-tree society was the same as or separate from the rest of Qi-Kan civilization, the tree seems the best place to begin building a new Jedi society. Villages already exist within its trunk and limbs, with complicated routes between them from artfully shaped branches and limbs forming a road network of its own.
- Kaw-Il Mountains: A mountain range that seems to cover the bulk of the surface, except vast plains near the poles, with small seas dotting the deepest valleys. Most of the built-up society seems to exist within these mountains and the massive forests covering their stony shoulders. Even the most widespread villages are connected through the cavern networks that undergird the mountain range.
- Polar Plains- Emanating from the geographic poles, these massive stretches of flatland cover thousands of square kilometers before meeting the foothills of the central mountain range. Very little lives here and only scant traces of inhabitation suggest that sentients once roamed across them. Mostly barren save for sparse, tough grasses and shrubs, and these grow into tundra of moss and lichen as the poles are approached. The nexus grows thin and weaker in these regions, perhaps due to fewer organic things to strengthen it, or perhaps there was some evil that happened here. No records can tell and even psychometry can see nothing of what might have been here before.

- Effects: A broadened view of reality, especially noted for its ability to reveal patterns in the universe, focused primarily around Qi-Ko. To be in the nexus is to know the nature of Qi-Ko and how its many organic elements interact with each other. Pieces seem to fit together and one becomes part of the harmonious interrelationship of all things on the planet. Even non-Force sensitives get a sense of how the planet's ecosystem functions, while those more sensitive to the Force have a deep understanding of the planet and their own role within it. Does not transfer off-world and only in visions does this nexus show or reflect anything from off-world. Upon departure, this sense of harmony is lost, leaving behind only a faint memory of belonging to something greater that cannot be put into words.

- The culture of Qi-Ko must be divided into two parts: the current settlers composed mainly of Jedi and other Force-sensitives from OPA, and the ancient Qi-Kan culture. For the current culture, it is quite sparse. Life revolves mostly around meditation, tending the permaculture, and training in the Force. They inhabit Qi-Lan, bringing their meager possessions with them and setting up as they would for a Jedi temple. Basic necessities such as food processors, refreshers, bunks, etc.
- The Qi-Kan culture, on the other hand, was far more sophisticated and intricate. Widespread across the planet's central belt, they appeared to live in harmony with the landscape, cultivating what was already there rather than establishing their own orchards or fields. This resulted in a very organic structure to the society, with aesthetic emphasizing circles that form interconnected patterns, and gentle curves rather than angular or blocky designs. Yet despite this, they were advanced enough in resources and skill to carve massive stone pillars into the mountains, either depicting robed figures, or some abstract and organic shape that channels the mountain winds into a beautiful, but lonesome, musical sound that echoes across the ranges and can be heard for kilometers. Their language, from what scholars have interpreted, is complex and emphasizes connecting phonemes into long and specific combinations rather than inventing new ones, while older carvings are pictographic in nature, leading to speculating that there have been successive waves of inhabitants on the planet. What is clear, however, that they had invented their own form of martial arts, as depicted in the carvings, that seemed to use the large spreads of cloth they wore as the main tool of defense.

- Stability: High Currently, Qi-Ko has a very low population, barely in the dozens, all of whom are Jedi, or closely connected in some way to Force sects whose views align with the Jedi, for the most part. As a result, this small populace prioritizes harmony, peaceful resolution to disagreements, and placing other's needs before their own. As a result, this has led to the planetary culture to strongly resemble a commune or Force-centric monastery.
- Freedom & Oppression: Very free, there is no local government beyond the collection of monks and mystics who have settled here to study the world and its secrets. For the most part, everyone contributes to the well-being of the whole and looks out for each other, with the rare hermit wandering farther out to live on their own.

Qi-Ko is an ancient world, with its first inhabitants lost in the very mists of time, with there being the possibility of multiple waves of discoverers and settlers. From the records left behind on the cavern walls, it seems the Qi-Kans were drawn to the world by the nexus, which they believed to be a living, spiritual embodiment of the Force. The oldest pictographs refer to them being called by the nexus and following their instincts to establish themselves on the world, working with harmony. Whether or not these are the first inhabitants or even the same society that dwelt in the heart-tree cannot be established. But what is known is that they flourished and grew, choosing to live in harmony with the nexus and the world, cultivating their needs based on what already existed on the planet, basing themselves near where essential resources could be found rather than adding their own.
Some records indicate there were wars waged between clans, fought with the Force and their martial arts style, but they seem to have been small-scale and localized, with the sites of battles being detectable by a tinge of shadow in the overall planetary aura, though no physical evidence of the battles exist. Despite being a predominantly Force-sensitive society, it appears they never discovered lightsabers, despite having a cache of kyber crystals and considering them valuable enough to build their largest settlement over. Nor is there any indication of blaster-type technology.
Yet, eventually, they disappeared, apparently within a generation or two of the gulag plague arising in the galaxy, leaving no sign of where they went. Lack of bodies suggests they weren't wiped out by the plague, and no destruction indicates it was peaceful. The only clue is a cryptic message about communing with the spirit-that-binds-the-world-together until the great darkness ends, and the sealed cavern door.
For over 800 years, the world continued to exist, empty of sentients, until a small band of Jedi monks discovered a strange compass on the half-forgotten world of Bogano. Led by Jedi Master Tiland Kortun, these Jedi followed the compass to Qi-Ko and established a monastic community, inviting other Jedi and Jedi-aligned researchers to gain a greater understanding of the world.
