OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create a narrative battle-priest order to operate within New Imperial Order Space.
  • Image Credit: Emblem made by me inspired by H4LCY0N | Sithgul by Art-Calavera on DeviantArt
  • Role: A supportive salvation unit within the forces of the Qo’krataa. For an organization based off of pure religious fanaticism, keeping the books clean and keeping solider’s hearts pure during the breach are some of the most important things one can do.
  • Permissions: NA
  • Links: Supreme Commander of the Qo’krataa Forces, the Qorit’taral. The Black Paladin Gatlin, the figure of the iconoclast worship of the cult. The Rallying of the Qo’kratta. The New Imperial Order.
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Unit Name: The Qo'kissai
  • Affiliation: Supreme Commander of the Qo’krataa Forces, the Qorit’taral. The Black Paladin Gatlin, the figure of the iconoclast worship of the cult. The New Imperial Order | the Qo’krataa, the factions this sub will be used by.
  • Classification: Soldier Priests
  • Description: Between the betaplast and blaster rifles common to armies across the Galaxy, few would imagine that calm, black clad, swordsmen, chanting in long dead languages would form a commonality in any of them. Despite that, the Qo'kissai stand. While other soldiers will be seen, marching to their deaths in the finest armor the Galaxy has to offer, the priesthood of the Qo'kissai would have more in common with a common street beggar. Unassuming in all respects, and common to mistake as a noncombatant by other forces. Employed within the Qo’krataa to save and guide the souls of the cult members to stay along the lines of hate, despair, and most importantly, fear. The live to their namesake, the Way of the Priests.
  • COMBAT INFORMATION:
  • Unit Size: Small
  • Unit Availability: Rare
  • Unit Experience: Veteran
  • Equipment: Blastsword | Sith apparel | 614-AvA speeder bikes | Thuribles | Blood Filled Aspergillum | Implanted Vocabulator - Used to give a purposefully haunting, grating, beast like voice.
  • Combat Function: A good day for the Qo'kissai would imply never having to raise their blastswords to defend themselves, they simply arrive at location on their bikes, depart, and mingle between the soldiers. Preaching their demented sermons. Soldiers that appear to not be relishing in the fact that they aren’t dead yet, in terms of not accepting the fear properly, are given long winded ramblings about why they should be fretful for every second they breathe. Generally, the goal of these priests are to instill fear and discipline into the ranks Though, often this manifests in a similar mindset that horror show workers have. Scare the absolute Hell out of them. Though, when they’re not busy sewing the products of terror to stimulate the dark side, they will sometimes be assaulted by the hostile forces they are engaging. When this comes to pass, the warrior side of their priesthood comes out full blast… sword. Their blades are more than just for show, and when it’s determined to be required, they will move in to rooms, hallways, siege buildings with their blades drawn. Due to the small scale nature of Qo’krataa operations, this devolves quickly into a Slasher film styled situation, with their targets being relentlessly stalked by demon voiced monsters.
Strengths:
  • Abandon your stations! The one major benefit that the Qo’krataa gain by these death priests is their sheer insistance on spouting horrific propaganda, demented gore poety, and nightmare inducing verses through a variety of languages. Their intent during an operation is to demoralize the enemy, and in a strange fire with fire mindset, embolden their allies through their eldritch incantations.
  • Melee Experts. While not as well trained as the average Jedi or Sith, a large part of the priesthood training goes into mastering their chosen blastswords. Several different combat styles are taught to the Qo'kissai, insuring that they will have an answer ready in most combat situations.
Weaknesses:
  • Absolutely horrifying. As the Qo’krataa is born and bred off of the concept of terror and fear, one would assume that their troops would be able to bear these nightmares. That couldn’t be further from the truth. The terror of war is much different from what the Qo'kissai offer. Generally, most troopers are more demoralized from the constant whining and doomsaying than anything else. Backfiring quite often into panic attacks.
  • Melee Experts. They specialize with their blastswords, going off of the idea that in general the blaster part of the weapon won’t be required to deal with anyone more than a couple paces away. If you were in a blank, empty, white room with a Qo'kissai, and they came running at you, blade raised, and you had a blaster pistol, you’re making it out of that room alive.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

It’s difficult to put a firm pin on when, how, and where the Qo'kissai come from within the grander context of the Qo’krataa cult. In general, the assumption is that they’re radicalized cultists that have brought themselves into the priesthood willingly, which bases itself out of the cruiser commanded by Gatlin. At least, that’s the theory Gatlin subscribes to. Their exact methods of recruitment and training remains, by and large, a mystery. No matter how well put together the individual was before they vanished into the spare hanger used by the Qo'kissai to host their sermons, they never returned as anything else than another cutout of a dark priest. The sheer lack of individuality that the Qo'kissai training seems to reduce these already deranged individuals into would be a cause for concern between any other organization, though, Gatlin hardly has room to complain with how the Qo’krataa needs as many loyal men as it can if it’s vision for the future will be taken to it’s logical extreme.
