The Padawan from Eriadu

Born in Eriadu during the First Galactic Alliance, Qorzan was actually named Starwynd Vaz and was the daughter of an Arkanian Jedi Master, Thythor Vaz, in the Galactic Alliance's New Jedi Order and a Pantoran Eriadu Merchant's Daughter, Olia Cho. From early one Starwynd displayed an affinity with the Force and was mischievous with it's gifts. Hoping to help her cultivate this gift, the family moved from Eriadu to one of the many Jedi Temples across the Allaince's inner space. There Starwynd was enrolled into the Jedi Academy. However, early on it became clear that Starwynd was a difficult student. Often rebellious, confrontational, and competitive - she was a Jedi Padawn that broke rules, wandered off, and preferred the free roaming of wandering cities than stay in the temples and meditate. Because of this she barely had any friends in the academy, except for the spacers that would come to the spaceport in the neighboring city. By the time she became a Jed Knight, she had a reputation as a firebrand warrior with a concerning flair for the dark and grayer aspects of the Force. It was becoming an issue. So much so the Council informed her father that they were considering exiling her from the Order as punishment and a method of reflection. Thankfully, her father persuaded them not to. Instead she was assigned to her father and were sent out on mission. Starwynd participated in the wars against the First Order and the remnants of the One Sith. In time she became a more disciplined, if not still a bit wild, Jedi.​

However, the end would raw near. With the collapse of the Galactic Alliance, Starwynd's home and family would be destroyed. In fleeing she would see her father killed defending their escape and her mother lost in the deluge of refugees fleeing the Alliance's crumbling control. In this chaos, Starwynd would pass from the hands of slavers, bounty hunters, into the hands of a infamous Feeorin Pirate Lord named Nymjak Dread. At first Nymjak had planned to keep her aboard the ship as one of his many concubines. She began work as a lady-in-waiting to the chief concubine of the dread pirate ship the Wandering Maw, a Twi'lek Courtesan from one of the most expensive brothels in Nar Shaddaa, named Fetzeza. Fetzeza would become a surrogate mother to Starwynd. While Nymjak was the captain, Fetzeza was the manager of the ship. Under her tutelage, Starwynd became well skilled in ship command, maintenance, electronics, mechanical engineering, and being handy with a blaster or two. Even Nymjak would take over as an adoptive father, taking Starwynd under his wing. Years would pass, Starwynd would grow attached to her new family - and take on a new name Qorzan. But, in time even this new family would be ripped from her once more. One raid had injured Nymjak gravely. It had become clear he would have to pass on the command of the ship to a new Captain. Nymjak chose, Qorzan, as did a small portion of the crew. The rest however, disagreed and in an act of treachery, a heinous one even for pirates, Nymjak and Fetzeza were assassinated and the ship stolen from Qorzan. It was sold to some scrapper as a final act of betrayal which then came into the hands of the corporations of Avernus . Qorzan was dumped on a dilapidated and abandoned mining comet to die.​

Qorzan escaped. Jumping from spacer crew to pirate crew then back to spacer crews, she built her fortune back and began hiring a crew of mercenaries to get her ship back and avenge her fallen adoptive parents. In that time all the loss had corrupted her soul and the Force within her. She began to rely on darker powers and began to bend the light into a murky gray quagmire. This is where the legend of Qorzan the dread Dark Jedi Pirate Queen of Wild Space begins...
