STRENGTHS:
  • Provides all-around protection from a broad range of damage types, able to take a considerable amount of punishment before weakening.
WEAKNESSES:
  • A sort of jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none scenario comes into play with Quadristeel, as while it provides high quality protection against a wide range of damage types, it is not particularly resistant against any type. It can take a lot of punishment, but particularly powerful weapons or other threats can and likely will weaken it quickly.
  • Offers no protection at all against Force-based attacks.
DESCRIPTION:
Quadristeel was developed to be a well-rounded general protective material, not meant to fare particularly-well against one or two types, nor to be able to sustain massive or prolonged assaults, but rather to ‘fill in the blanks’ serving as a secondary protection material, capable of offering up at least a high measure of resistance to several various types of damage. Difficult to penetrate, even at close range, with standard weaponry – including lightsaber-type weapons – and resistant against many forms of damage, Quadristeel offers starship crews a good piece of mind, knowing themselves to be protected against many potential kinds of damage. Never meant to be used as primary armor or hull plating, it provides a strong ‘second line’ of defense.
