Question about a development blog

Would a blog from an IC perspective explaining how the submission was made increase the likelihood of the submission being approved? Could it count as a sort of development thread?

I believe this method is only acceptable when creating an AI. If we go by the Restricted Items list and the requirements found there, the rest require an actual development thread, with a set number of *posts* in a topic.

If you haven't been asked to make a development thread, and choose to do this simply as a way to give further insight into the product, then I believe that would be fine; but if it's taking the place of an actually requested development thread then I'd be liable to say no.

What I'm making doesnt require a development thread. I was just wondering if it would help it get approved. Thanks for your input!

It won't inherently improve your chances, but if done in a productive manner it could give you extra brownie points >~>;' Nom brownies.

If you believe it will help you develop the idea, and others further understand it, then go for it! :) Just be aware that it won't substitute for a Development Thread if the Factory Judge asks you to do one.

I've thrown in a blog post with my datacron submission, not that it really helped get it approved except to show it was being used as a diary.

If you want to use one then make one and we'll probably appreciate the read/effort.
