Question about meeting restricted item requirements.

N
Neuraniam (( Objective : Complete an entire role-play from the first person perspective in which you only use the first pronoun ( “I” or “me” or “my” ) only six times. ))

Does this include a characters speech? Like, does the entirety of the thread have to be lacking of I, me, or my in your posts except for six?

I have a feeling that this one was made difficult on purpose, but I have the plan to acquire all the restricted items just for fun, and I need to clarify exactly what all the requirements dictate I do in order to achieve it, as after all, I don't want to repeat any objectives.

This is the easiest in my opinion as I always type in third save speeches. But that could be done easily. Ie a stealth op to steal some thus you wouldn't even speak to begin with. Let me know if you want a hand, I could use some Neuranium @[member="Triam Akovin"]

Doing it in 3rd person is contradictory to what the requirement says. It calls for the entire thread to be completed in 1st person. .. so I'm confused.

My suggestion would be to do the roleplay from the prespective of an NPC who is watching your character or something of that sort.

That would be 2nd perspective.

Also @[member="Darth Kyros"] that wasn't the question, I was asking if a characters speech counted.

For example: There is a situation in which my character would not like to go somewhere, she says, "I ain't going in there." Does the "I" here count towards the six, as opposed to thoughts where she says I, me, or my?

This particular requirement seems contradictory, as in order for it to be in 1st person you need to use those pronouns. Limiting it to six is... well, difficult. Which as I've said before is most likely for a reason.

It's considered improper grammatically to switch from first and third person. If you start in first person, you stick with first person. It entails a perspective of the writing to the reader, and each view point holds different characteristics. First person is from the point of view of the "protagonist", detailing their actions, thoughts, and feelings. Third person refers to detailing these same aspects but from an entirely outside perspective that can switch between one person or another (Example: Game of Thrones and the Wheel of Time series). For most writers on here, there aren't many posts that aren't in third person. It's not that first person is bad, but that it can be inflexible in this type of writing environment.

Essentially, no third person.

I believe this could work.

We moved silently amongst the shadows, our intent simple. As a group we would....

@[member="Ashin Varanin"] is my go to guy for grammar, so whatcha think on this Jon?

Well, anyway this is the thread I'm doing. No one has responded yet.

It's a thread of nothing, or in other words, nothing is going to happen in it. A bunch of characters just happen to meet and parts ways afterwards. No fighting or secret plots, just dialogue with random people, so yeah perhaps this was not the wisest thread to try and do this with.

Fairly certain its just yourself, it would become ridiculous if everyone in a given thread was restricted to a community allowance of just six first person pronouns, with everyone being required to be in first person.

It would literally be impossible unless two really dedicated people could think very hard about what they wright and plan every post, and have it be the shortest thread ever.
