Question about the Enclave...

Is it still the Force Enclave or is it just for Jedi now... i noticed the name change and if it is the latter then it means i have to leave the faction as the only reason Alex was here is to help with the Enclave as it was meant to encompass non jedi who were more interested in the Republic rather than simply following the Jedi code... if it is nothing more than a Jedi order again then i have to wish goodbye as Mantic wanted something else when he changed it to that.

Yes, it's open. The focus of the organization was formal education but for Force Users. Force Training and what not are included, but the broader focus is education in general. After a preliminary education, like primary and university etc, graduates and choose to join the Jedi or go out in the world.

So students will be studying sciences, economics, politics, etc and so forth, then moving on to a focus in Force Training if they want to later. Consider becoming a Jedi as a specific degree.

Valid question. Not privy to why the name was changed or if its part of a new direction.

Personally if the focus is a change to just Jedi then I'll likely have to reconsider one of my other characters further participation.
Although nothing In Character has happened as far as I am aware to have pushed for this change so until then I will continue to write (when ever I get around to it) that character as a member of the Force Enclave

Kay does go there for some lessons and to teach in return. And attended Mantic's lectures. But as for ruling the galaxy? Not in her cards, I'm afraid.

I've actually started a thread with my Jedi Master character, Ylva, who serves as an educator with the academy, that sets a good tone for things.
It was originally private, but I can open it up to any who want to be involved.

The way we had discussed things before, the Academy would serve as a surrogate for general education, specifying students who are Force sensitive. They still study history, mathematics, science, politics, etc, as I mentioned above.

Anyone is free to get involved, please read my first post there to familiarize yourself with what to expect from Ylva's instruction. The goal of the Academy is essentially to provide a general education to individuals who are Force Sensitive. We will not only be learning Force techniques and theory, but also general studies, such as Sciences, Mathematics, etc and so forth.
The point is to give Force Users a general base of practical knowledge and, upon graduating, be eligible to move on to university-level education, work in government, or of course, join the Republic Jedi Order. Depending on the development of your character throughout your writing with the Academy, you may enter the Jedi Order as Padawans or Knights.
