Question About Titles

So, I'm guessing I probably missed a similar question being asked somewhere, but I'm just a bit too lazy to find it. What would the difference between the titles of Darth and Lord be? It seems Lord is a title not used often, which leads me to believe there is a special requirement for getting it (besides being promoted). I know that originally, Lord was a lesser title than Darth, but would the same thing remain true, or no?

Usually not - 'Lord' doesn't necessarily indicate a 'Sith Lord' (i.e. the Master title for our faction) - it's often used in the same way as 'Master Jedi' can be for the Jedi Order: it refers to an unapprenticed Sith that has 'completed' their training. 'Darth' specifically refers to a Sith Lord (i.e. a Master by faction rank).
