Keepin Corellia Weird
So my next project in my quest of fun and head-ache inducing subs was a personal AI... I have spent most of the afternoon researching the concept, both in real world applications and Sci-Fi/Video Game. And let me first say: Owww.. My brain hurts. And secondly, let me also say: I have an idea!
The best, and easiest method for me, to write that I came across was a method pirated from the Halo series. I don't really grasp computer science a ton. But medical science I do... Some of the AI, like Cortana from the series, are made by flash cloning a specific persons brain (this apparently doesn't kill them it would appear, though it has a low success rate).
That cloned brain is then mapped, neural networks and all, and that framework is used as the base 'programming' for the AI. The glitch to it is that the AI will inherit various 'ghost' impressions from the subject donating. Not necessarily knowledge, or memories, but think of them as predispositions. Their attitude will be similar, or they might share various favorite sayings or personality quirks. But just because the host was an expert physicist doesn't mean the AI is by definition.
Basically the AI will behave like any other advanced, sentient and full fledged AI, but will be a little more 'human' in it's interactions and 'personality' and traits than anything else. Think more Cortana than Jarvis, for pop culture references. My idea would be to approach the Kaminoans with one or several person(s) DNA to grow and educate a clone and then neurally map the clone's brain and use that as the basis for the AI. Any Chaos players used in this cloning would be obtained samples IC and permission IC & OOC, of course.
Would this method of A.I. creation, considering that all dev threads met requirements, be acceptable to Chaos? I'm also open for, if it is, having medical type chars, programmer type chars, and the like weigh in and help in the dev threads (for dev thread help, just PM me please). I am willing to tweak it, I just am trying to wrap my head aroudn straight programming from a comp-sci angle and can't, so I thought to try and tackle it from an angle I understood a bit more of.
