Question on Dropped Threads?

If a thread is "Dropped" or "Dead" does it count as completed? or is it separate from completed threads?

Or does this all matter? Im trying to organize all my characters so that the only reason why i ask

I typically do not count 'dropped' or 'dead' threads as complete, unless I can discern that my own involvement in them can be considered complete, i.e. I've accomplished what I was there to accomplish.
