Question question regarding the evolution of a character

Hello everyone, I hope you are well.

I have a quick question for you, as a new player for some time, I would like to ask you a little thing, is there a limit that a character can reach in terms of power? Mastery of force? Saber skills? Level of accumulated power? And if so, which one would it be?

Of course, I don't plan to take any shortcuts, or whatever, but let's just say that the boundaries are a little blurry for me, given that I come from a very restricted and limited space... So I would like to know how I could measure this "power" and this "strength" and acquire it over time and events. Of course if she doesn't die along the way, in which case I'll have to start all over again.

How strong can a character become? i am interested for is evolution

Thank you for this clarification, I am sorry if the question has already been asked, I wish you a pleasant evening and day!

I am curious to read your opinion because i like create more graphics, diagrams, schedule, etc. so that everything is square in my scenario.

Oh and happy holiday christmas!

If the abyss stares at you, don't blink
From my experience, not really. You can write what and however you want (within reason of course) the trick is getting others to buy into it. For every newbie out there who writes a brand new character immediately claiming to be Luke Skywalker or Exar Kun reborn, there is a Valery Noble Valery Noble , a Kahlil Noble Kahlil Noble , a Darth Carnifex Darth Carnifex or Diarch Reign Diarch Reign putting the work in and making everything believable.

TLDR: All up to you

I’m honored to be listed among such greats. I appreciate it. Lyssara Thrynn Lyssara Thrynn Im by no means an expert but you know how to get a hold of me if I can help in any way!

You can be as badass as you want to be.

Characters can start from any level, padawan, knight, master but if you're looking for organic ways to "level up" my first solution is to write to your heart's content. Engaging with others, like Connel Vanagor Connel Vanagor suggested, is the more surefire way to not only gain traction in the community but for your character to pick up skills and tricks to add to their repertoire.

We always seem to have a Master (Be it Sitrh or Jedi) shortage so I generally make older characters with the intent of helping others out (You guys out there with 12 padawans or sithlings know exactly what I mean lol...) but that's just my personal preference. We don't have "ranks" in terms of someone needing to promote you, even though, some factions do hold Knighting Ceremonies. That's for fun - It's not at all a requirement.

You actually CAN take shortcuts if you want. Some people don't enjoy the "learning process" at all...But communicating with your writing partners is the BIG antidote to all ills. If you start getting into a pickle because you went the way of the Wild West - Just talk. People are usually chill.

Thread Example:

You could pick up in a Jedi/Sith Academy and start honing skills, getting the basics down, etc.
You could start an adventure-styled thread on a planet full of things that want to eat you, solo, or recruit a team (I suggest a team) and gain knowledge throughout that endeavor.
You could LFG a Master.
You could scan the First Reply threads and get yourself something hot off the press.
Public Threads are also a boss way to make a mess and have your character learn something from it.
Faction threads normally have a BYOO aspect where you can explore or have an alternative goal...Or - The point of it may already align with your goals.

The sky is the limit on that.

The only exception is that characters can't be "literal gods* like Zeus...They can be a megalomanic who thinks they are, but they aren't.

Happy Holidays - Hope it helps!

You and I are a lot alike there. I have been doing this a long time and I like explaining everything.

I've always embraced the idea that Star Wars Puts forward for Jedi.

They're always learning.

Realistically, your character is only as skilled as you are creative as a writer. Skill levels only matter if you can write them, and keeping track of progress is entirely self imposed. Jonyna for example is a character I've kept improving on since before she was on Chaos (She was originally a TTRPG character), and she started with no force powers other than minor telekinesis, a single sword made of scrap, and a holdout blaster.

Now she's summoning hurricane in invasions and wielding weapons that give even major PC sith lords trouble.

Just remember to show that progression through your writing.

Some interesting ideas and great advice in this thread. Over the course of time and many RPG's in multiple genre's, I find that the weaknesses and limitations better define a character and make them more interesting. Just because a character is flawed or vulnerable in some way doesn't make them any less compelling. So even if you reach the pinnacle of your character evolution, they may still have some demerit on their "character sheet" -- bad attitude, paranoia, obsession, injury that won't quite fully heal, etc.

This is true. I find the most interested weaknesses are practical ones.

Like, for Jonyna, she's almost entirely tech illiterate, and mostly regular illiterate. It doesn't come up much, but Jonyna's inability to read above a freshman level is one thing I love being able to use when I can. Because it's not something that can simply be over come with tech, or skill.
