Questions about archiving/archived stuff

When are posts archived? Is there a time limit that they are allowed to stay in Open or Private role-play? Are certain kinds of posts, like events, always archived after a certain time?

Events are always archived when they are done.

We don't as a rule archive threads automatically after a certain time. Most threads you see in the archive are requested to be there, or locked because of an issue.

As said above, though I would add that eventually they do close down the older threads and archive them, but the last time that happened had been I believe an accumulated 2 years worth.

That's not accurate. If you look in the RP forums, all the RP threads since the start of 2014 are there.

Most of the threads in the archive are ones lost in the crash of 2013, or from 2013. The rest are threads archived for other reasons.

Well, then I can say I am personally lost. I was told during a time that I was not on site that it had occured, and finding my own stuff in the archives without asking for it seemed to collaborate with the idea. Either or it was quite a while back so it doesn't matter to me anymore, other than leading to me believing so.
