Quiet as rain, quick as lightning, hard as thunder.

Tython, Jedi temple grounds...
Rain pattered away at the ground, collecting in pools and running off to join the rushing water at the stream. The rain thudded against Tracyn Ordo's Ossus robes, and rolled down what remained of his Ori'ramikad armor. It trickled downward, before either soaking into the brown robes that he wore, or to the ground. He waited in the rain, patiently. Jedi were a patient fellow- and Tracyn, being also trained as he was- had developed a keen sense for patience. One that he hoped to share, especially with an interested student, [member="Anarya Drast"]. His head turned as he felt a figure approaching, but his body did not move from the position. His eyes were drifting over the entire forest, foggy from the constant rainfall.
He did not look at her when he spoke, for he had turned his head back to face the gray and green mass of foliage and fauna. Tracyn suppressed a smile when he realized who the figure approaching was. Not many people came out of the temple during the rain, and he was expecting someone nonetheless. It was also difficult to sneak up on Tracyn, though not impossible.
"Miss Drast, a pleasure. I'm assuming you're not here for a leisurely stroll?"

Having come to Tython only recently, the Half blood was still unfamiliar with the planet. And then, as she left the ship, it started to rain, as if the heavens had opened up for her arrival. It had taken her some time to figure out where the Mandalorian Jedi was. As the girl approached [member="Tracyn Ordo"] in the rain, she couldn't help but remember a old children's rhyme she had heard so many times long ago:
It's raining, It's pouring,
Ashla is snoring....
Shaking her head and wrapping the cloak she wore tighter, she heard his comment. "I'm not sure many would consider anything outside in this weather 'leisurely', sir." she replied, her small form dwarfed by the knight. She looked up as best she could, trying to do so without getting any rain in her eyes and failing.

Blessed are the peacemakers
[member="Anarya Drast"] brought a smile to the Knight's face. He raised up a single hand. She would notice, that his crushgaunts were not on his hand. In fact, he did not seem to be wearing any of his armor or his gear. He just seemed to be wearing robings. He smiled at the young woman."My wife, enjoyed the rain. And I too, grew to enjoy the rain. You see, you're looking at only a single aspect of the rain- the gloomy, the wetness, the like."He held out his bare hand."You must focus on the other things, like what the rain brings. Without the rain, you would not have the river, the forest. You would not have the oceans, you would have not the food that you eat. And as for while it rains- you should grow to enjoy the sounds of rain. The gentle sound of it, or the peacefulness that it brings. You will find solace in the rain. We, may in fact, be the only creatures out here. Not a rodent, not a predator, enjoys the rain..."He trailed off, before taking a deep breath.

"The Echani believe that through combat, communication is at it's finest. That combat between two people is the ultimate expression. And in a way, they are not wrong. Tell me, young Jedi, what do you know of the Echani?"

The girl listened as [member="Tracyn Ordo"] spoke of his wife andtainted rain. The only things out here. That was good, no random flesh raider jumping out behind her. She seemed a little more focused, trying to ignore the rain poiring down onto her face. But then he asked her a question. One that she wasn't sure she knew how to answer.

"I know they are a warrior race, focused on the honor of combat above all else. Beyond that, I know they are materialists. And besides what you just mentioned," she said, a small smile flashing on her face, "That's about it."

Blessed are the peacemakers
"The Echani are among the finest combatants to have ever graced the galaxy, save for the Mandalorians perhaps. Not many races or cultures have had such a tremendous impact on galactic affairs, even so many years later."

His eyes danced around the rain."But I also understand that you are not simply interested in learning the art of Echani combatives. There are other things you wish to learn, I'm assuming." He spoke softly, his gentle concord accent oozing from his tongue like a stream of comfort and knowledge. Tracyn was a great combatant, but did not seem it on first impression. In fact, he knew above all else, training meant little- actual practice meant everything.
