INVENTORY

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS

Quill has been a hermit on the frigid worlds of Hoth and Pagodon for most of his adult life. He abandoned the Jedi path decades ago over Jedi war crimes. He is neurodivergent. Since 864, he has been a Keeper of the secretive Order of the Selab, adhering to its principles and priorities.

STRENGTHS
  • Understanding of the Force equivalent to an experienced Jedi Master or Sith Lord.
  • Unusually extensive knowledge of techniques and teachings from independent non-human-centric Force traditions.
  • Coming up on a century old, but largely stopped ageing some time ago.
  • Extreme resilience in cold climates.
  • Knows your librarian.

WEAKNESSES
  • The physical challenges of late middle age.
  • A unique Force condition named for the Sith Lord Odion: the presence of others causes Quill pain.
  • His work with a lightsaber has always centered on Niman, the Diplomat's Form. It's suited his needs through many dangers, but he's no blademaster.

HISTORY

Quill was born on Erilnar in the Centrality, circa 810 ABY. He was raised in the dark-oriented Raskava Order, the so-called holocron eaters, and was a starship thief for a time.

He served as a Jedi Padawan, Knight, and Master (e.g. Watchman of the Hoth System's small enclave) from around 830 until 869, when he rejected the Jedi way.

From 872 onward, he was generally based on Pagodon. He spent much of his time visiting and sharing with obscure Force traditions, like he'd often done as a Jedi, or assisting with rebuilding and peacemaking in the Scar Worlds, the planets devastated by the Bryn'adul. So far as most Jedi were concerned, Quill was an intermittent and peripheral presence, a giver of gifts and a meddler.
