HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The astromech known as R7-C9 has lead quite the storied life, if he could remember any of it. Built towards the end of the Galactic Civil War to fly the astromech slot of E-wing escort fighters, R7 served a long and distinguished career before being phased out for newer models, ending up on the military surplus market. From there, what he has done is a mystery as records are patchy at best, owners die, etc. Eventually, the droid ended up in an old droid antique shop on the lower levels of Coruscant, expected to be sold. Perhaps to a small business or a lower income family as a gift to a child. Fortunately for R7, Iroh Gedari and his apprentice Caldon Tenneth happened to be walking by the store front window while on business in the lower levels. The droid caught Caldon's eye in a brief moment, which Iroh noticed. The old Jedi Master made a trip down there a few days later after their mission was concluded and purchased the droid, presenting him to Caldon on the latter's fifteenth birthday. Caldon immediately went about restoring R7 to almost factory new, as well as upgrading him to be on par with the current models within the Jedi Temple. Now the two are basically inseparable, especially after Iroh charged the old astromech with watching out for Caldon when the Jedi Master was unable.
- Intent: To provide Caldon with a droid companion and role-play foil.

- Role: Fighter Astromech Unit, Droid Companion, Computer Slicer
- Permissions: N/A
- Links: R7-series astromech droid
- Age: 800+ SGY
- Model: R7-series astromech droid
- Appearance: R7-C9 stands at approximately .96 meters in height, and weighs approximately 35 kilograms. His body is colored on off white, with the dome being a silver color and the detailing being a shade of lime green. His chassis has the marks of wear and tear in a few places, but his paint job is usually kept well maintained and trimmed up with regular paintings and oil baths. Internally, R7-C9 boasts the standard up to date assortment of tools.
- SOCIAL INFORMATION
- Name: R7-C9, R7, Arsev
- Loyalties: Caldon Tenneth, Galactic Alliance/New Jedi Order
- Notable Equipment: Leg thrusters, repair tools, slicing tools, shock probe, sensor suite
- Skills: Piloting, Slicing, "Nursemaiding", Vehicle and Starship Repair, Scanning
- Personality: R7-C9 has the personality of a wise, sometimes cranky middle aged man. He's smart, driven and totally loyal to Caldon, only complaining out of good humor in order to lighten a situation. One charge given to him by Caldon's Jedi Master, Iroh Gedari, is to keep Caldon alive and to get him socializing and out of the workshop. That charge is something he takes quite seriously, almost as a sort of debt of honor. He's gone without a memory wipe since Caldon's ownership of him began, which gives him more and more personality as he goes on.
- Weapon of Choice: Shock Probe
- Combat Function: R7 is out of place within a combat scenario unless it is starfighter combat. Otherwise he presents a big and slow target, though he does have a fire extinguisher he can utilize as a smoke screen until he gets within cover.
- Up to Date: R7 has been updated to be current with astromechs of the current time, despite his advanced age.
- Loyal: R7 is dedicated to Caldon Tenneth, and will stick with him even when the going gets tough. If Caldon does not take care of himself, he'll do it instead.
Weaknesses:
- Big Target: R7 presents a really big and slow target in combat.
- No Ranged Attack: R7 has no ranged weapons, meaning he is limited to close in surprise attacks.
