As a Gurlanin, Ra Vizsla is able to change his shape and appearance at will and is able to hold it for an indefinite period of time.
Secondary Human Form
As a Gurlanin, Ra's ears are located in his snout and can use loud huffing noises to locate friend or foe by sound.
Ra is able to telepathically speak and coordinate with other Gurlanin.
As a soldier, Ra accepts that he must rely on racial abilities and warrior prowess to outmaneuver and outperform a galaxy full of Jedi, Sith, Witches, and other beings using the Force. He is well aware of the Force and its impact on combat.
Even though he's a steel hearted ice cold leader of the Iron Wolves Aliit, Ra is known to fall into monologuing tropes even when his prey is hard-pressed for victory, much to his chagrin.
Ra's been around for a while and because of this - he's not very friendly to others, even Mandalorians. He's not hip with this new age stuff and is extremely conservative. Being a traditional Mandalorian, Ra displays a feverish loyalty to the six tenets of Mandalorian law and still believes in the Old Gods.
Wolf-Form
WOLF-FORM
Compared to other gurlanin, Ra is a giant. Standing upright at 2.2 meters, he towers over others of his breed. His teeth are jagged and corrected, not causing a lisp like many others of his species. His fur is obsidian colored, though splotches of dark brown and gray can be found in long strands especially along his back. His eyes grow a bright green, though most other Gurlanin sport orange eyes. This is thought to be either a genetic mutation or exposure to chemicals. Ra is very muscular and in shape, and has maintained his form throughout his middling years.
PREFERRED-HUMAN FORM
Jhaega was imprinted upon by a human when he was very young, but had an extreme reaction to it. Though most imprints upon Gurlanin were of bonds of friendship or life debts, this imprint was one of pain and injury. Vizsla did not see the man for many years until his rite of passage into adulthood, during which he hunted the man down and assassinated him in his bed. This man's form is Ra's preferred visage when going to war, to remind himself of the evil inherent in everyone.
REGAL-HUMAN FORM
Ra has another preferred human form in which he utilizes when conducting diplomacy. This form was taken from a noble from an Outer Rim world who Ra also killed, though this noble had no relation to Ra prior. The Gurlanin simply wanted to use the man's face, and spent three months mapping the man's whereabouts just to slip into his house at night and catch him while he was in the loo. The man's body was left, the head was not.
OTHER FORMS
Throughout the years, Vizsla has taken various forms during his bounty hunting days. Though he usually catches the scent of his prey and targets an asset familiar with them and dons their appearance for the finality of the hunt, he has been known to pick appearances from artwork or images captured on the holonet. Ra has tried experimenting by mixing and matching visages or creating entirely new ones with very... unimpressive results.
Primary Human Form
The Gulag Plague
[SIZE=10pt]Ra was born and raised during the 400 hundred year darkness when the Gulag virus was reaping the Galaxy. Ra was the oldest of a litter of seven. Having had been imprinted upon (a rite of friendship for early-age Gurlanin) by a vicious stranger, this particular Gurlanin emerged early on as the protector of his younger brothers and sisters. It was this traumatic episode so early on in the years of Vizsla that caused him to be so heartless, as cold as steel. Upon reaching adulthood, Ra spent the better part of a year tracking this man down to his home where the Gurlanin would then kill him in cold blood. He would soon return back to his brothers and sisters wearing the face of his oppressor, and it was this face that was the first shapechange Ra would make. For the rest of his long life, Ra would prefer to utilize this man's appearance in combat.[/SIZE]
Ra, much less attached to the pack and his family than the rest of his siblings, would soon leave his homeworld Qiilura to explore the Galaxy, searching for something to fill the empty void that had been left by the aggressor's death.
Clockwork Rebellion
Ra was present and working in a salt mine on Alderaan when Omni's message was heard by trillions throughout the Galaxy. Ra took part in the Alderaani resistance, defending his company's mine and the nearby villages from the swaths of droids that invaded the planet. It was during these military operations that the Gurlanin would meet the first man he would call friend outside of his own race, a human by the name of Tykus. Tykus was a mercenary, and in the wake of Omni's defeat would tell stories of his past outfit with the Mandalorians gun runners. Looking to hire on a new member for his own crew, Tykus bought Ra's contract for the salt mines and took him aboard his ship as a personnel protection liaison. This is when Ra would come to learn about the intricacies of criminality within the Galaxy - smuggling disabled Omni droids to benefactors off war-torn worlds, outside of the Republic's jurisdiction. Blockade running the Confederacy to steal shipments of sonic weapons for delivery to the Sith Empire.
Ra became engulfed in the life of a criminal.
Dark Harvest
While the events of Dark Harvest were happening, Ra was being arrested in Mandalorian space for running spice to nobles with Tykus. During their incarceration, for which both did six months in a low-security prison, Tykus was shivved a total of nineteen times for allegedly committing multiple counts of adultery with a gang leader's wife. Ra was distraught, but soon found friends within the prison who had also been victims of this gang. Within the short span of Ra's time in prison on Mandalore, the Gurlanin had formed his own gang and displaced the opposition. He found it to be quite an entertaining venue, despite the fact that it had been prison.
This had attracted quite a few notices from Mandalorian Clans, specifically Clan Varad.
Masks of Madness
Ra was one of the trillions not selected by Akala, so Masks of Madness went by fairly uneventful for him. He had previously been picked up by Clan Varad, the aggressive Mandalorians that they are, and sent on scouting expeditions into the Outer Rim to thwart and intercept broken groups of Sith from the era of the Sith Empire. Ra learned the ways of the Mando'ade during these years, and was wholly accepted into the culture.
Netherworld
Vizsla road back for Qiilura to find his family, getting trapped on the planet as the events of Netherworld happened. Happy to find all six of his brothers and sisters alive, Ra rescued them from the undeath that had emerged from the Netherworld of the Force and shuttled them back to Mandalore along with many other Gurlanin families now under his protection. As a Mandalorian, he invited his family and all the other families to join him in learning this new culture and become inducted into the open arms of Mandalore and their society.
Now
Ra has rejoined his old family, Clan Vizsla, and come back within the fold of the United Clans of Mandalore.
