The Raari Vehaj Phase-Pulse Blaster, its name meaning Lashing Viper in Wan'ante, is the primary ranged weapon of Ra'Katha; both its primitive Wan'anteen tribes and more technologically-advanced Dejoka'ar neighbors. It is as antiquated as the planet from which it is made, but appearances can be deceiving; besides its seemingly-ancient design is a blaster that can deal with extreme amounts of damage.
Modeled after the Amban phase-pulse blaster and first created sometime before the Gulag Plague, during the early years of the Rommer Dynasty, the blaster is designed to be extra deadly at the expense of firing rate and ammunition. Consuming an entire cartridge of concentrated prothium gas in a single shot, the result of this feature is a bolt that has the capability to completely disintegrate a target, armor notwithstanding. However, this awesome power comes at the expense of the fact that the blaster must be manually reloaded after each shot and thus requires the user to carry an ample load of ammunition if they wish to be effective against multiple opponents. In addition, the prongs of the Raari Vehaj can be utilized in melee combat to deliver an electrical stun to an opponent, potentially incapacitating them.
Altogether, the Raari Vehaj is an extremely dangerous and deadly weapon, somewhat antiquated in its design but no less lethal in its function.
