(+) Mechanical Knowledge: Growing up on Raxus Prime, Rabbit has scrap and mechanics running through her veins.
(+) Fast Learner: She has always had a knack for absorbing information quickly.
(-) Inexperienced: Rabbit has spent her entire life on Raxus Prime, and has little to no knowledge of the outside galaxy. She only has a basic understanding of how to read, how to work a blaster, and how to fly a starship. When it comes to cultural barriers, she’s absolutely hopeless.
(-) Scrap Cyborg: Rabbit’s cybernetics are made from scrap and salvage found on Raxus Prime. While they may be impressive for such humble origins, they require constant maintenance in order to function. And if they don’t function, then she cannot survive. If too many of her cybernetics cease to function, then she will not live much longer after that.
(-) Naive: Growing up she only really had her adopted uncle for company. As such, she has no real experience with people, and no reason to distrust them. She is easily tricked and deceived because she sees the best in everyone.
BIOGRAPHY:
Camryn “Rabbit” Starrider isn’t entirely sure where she was born. Her earliest memories are of salvaging and breaking down the scrap found on Raxus Prime with her adopted uncle, Salvin. Salvin never told her who her parents were, and never said how he adopted her, or where he found her. And she never really cared to ask. Salvin was the only family she knew, and the only family she cared about.
Her childhood was spent in the wrecks of old vehicles, starships, and droids. Taking them apart. Scrapping them. Melting them down. And keeping some parts for their own personal projects. Salvin had never left Raxus, and had no interest in ever leaving Raxus Prime. His life had been spent in the scrap, and he passed on his knowledge and skills to his ward. She learned alongside her uncle and always had a knack for his work, much to his delight.
But things couldn’t stay good forever. When she was a teenager, she was working on a starship wreck, and something went wrong. Very wrong. One of the engines exploded, and severely injured Rabbit. Her left arm and left side were burned and ravaged, the arm destroyed beyond repair. Salvin had no choice but to amputate the arm entirely, and began the work of saving her life. With the scrap of Raxus Prime, he saved her life. But at great cost. Her arm functions, and so do the augments to her body on her left side, but not without constant maintenance.
This changed her perspective on life. What if she had died there, on that wreck? What if she had died without accomplishing anything? What if she had died without ever leaving Raxus, and spending her entire life in the heaps and piles of scrap? She couldn’t stand it. She had to accomplish something. She had to do something with her life. Salvin was disappointed, and tried to convince her to stay with him, tried to tell her that the galaxy had nothing to offer her but death and heartbreak. But she persisted. And eventually, he gave in.
Together, they got enough scrap together to sell for enough credits to buy her a blaster, and enough for passage on a few shuttles. She could go anywhere in the galaxy, do anything. But what?
That was the question that plagued her as she left Raxus Prime, to go anywhere in the galaxy, and to her new life.
