Rachne Industries is open to request by all parties. Their facilitates make use of the abandoned and extensive infrastructure built in District 3 of Denon, otherwise known as Moonfall. Nestled between otherwise unremarkable, yet vital, facilities such as weather control meant that unwanted foot or vehicular traffic was kept to a minimum; a useful feature to monitor for terrorists attempting to sneak into the facilities -- tactics Vexx had witnessed first hand employed by Darkwire.
With its Chief Executive Officer a former Galactic Alliance Senator that'd been well informed of planetary deals and needs, Rachne Industries began construction on some of the most sought after materials and products on or off Denon. Positioning itself in the market to take advantage of weaknesses in the mark, Rachne had a meteoric rise that many Industry Analysts found suspect -- though most citizens hardly took note as it was an affair of the Corporate Authorities of Denon.
The C.A.D., however, had nothing to do with its inexplicable success. Various parties made efforts to probe Rachne Industries to learn more about it and its methods, unaware at the time who was leading the organization. Meanwhile, the mysterious Executive of Rachne reached out to certain, old business partners. What one couldn't do through legitimate business deals alone, they could manage by leveraging scandalous information and certain financial details. Some within the Authorities quietly took Rachne's side and began to help steer further investigative efforts.
In time, the C.A.D. saw an opportunity to break away from the Galactic Alliance [2025 Map Update], scorned by efforts to curtail Corporate ownership of Denon, which only served to further draw attention away from Rachne. At which time, its Executive Officer struck out at her enemies in order to re-establish her own power in corporate affairs once more. Efforts that remain under way with Rachne Industries giving its Executive Officer the standing to stake her claim.
As the power struggle unfolds, Rachne continues to process raw minerals and materials into refined product, construct weapons and ships for Denon, and market itself as a company by Denon for Denon. Most Workers are surprisingly well compensated -- though executives still receive a substantial part of the profits -- but it is not above exploiting people or engaging in environmentally unsustainable activity off world in order to remain competitive.
Dominique Vexx needs her own enterprise in order to facilitate business needs and requests. While priding herself on the ability to broker deals between multiple parties, circumstances came about that required her to take a more direct role in matters on occasion. Originally intended for other uses, Rachne Industries was built in the forlorn Moonfall district of Denon. The district's facilities made it an excellent choice for processing and manufacturing. That the area was already in Vexx's clutches, through various shell organizations during her time as an Alliance Senator, made it the perfect means to facilitate her return to power.
