BIOGRAPHY:
Ragos Terrek is and in his mind always was a fighter.
At eight years old Ragos and his family left their home on Haruun Kal so that his father could take over running a nightclub for Valturla the Hutt. What if anything qualified his father for such a job or how he even came by it to begin with Ragos never knew but at the end of the day it hardly mattered. What mattered was that he had the job at all, many of Valturla’s affiliates and underlings thought the position should be theirs and that caused a tension that at times turned to confrontation not only between those aggrieved and Ragos’ father but between the children as well.
There were many times Ragos came home bruised and bloodied from having to correct someone’s opinion about his family. Ragos would eagerly throw himself into conflict with others regardless of the number or size or age of his opponent. None of those things were important, the only thing that was important was that the next one to come and test him would know to think twice.
By the age of twelve Ragos had developed a reputation among the criminal element that surrounded Valturla and by extension his father and by further extension himself as wild and someone was not just ready for a fight but looking for one. This reputation led as it often did to a confrontation, this time with a trandoshan who was a few years older than Ragos was. The fight was short but violent. The Dosh lost an eye and left the fight knowing that Ragos was for real. Ragos on the other hand left the encounter with a broken hand, a gash on his cheek and one on his forehead, he was also missing several teeth and his left eye was swollen completely shut. When his father saw the state his son was in, the man felt he was left with no choice as it was clear this was not something Ragos would grow out of.
This event saw the two brothers put under the tutelage of a Noghri K’thri master. Both brothers quickly excelled at their training becoming two of the Noghri’s most talented students. Ragos was especially suited for this endeavour and within a year was entering and winning tournaments not just on Nar Shaddaa but all throughout the sector.
By the time he had turned thirteen there was what seemed to be an impenetrable rift forming between Ragos and his father. It seemed like Ragos did not see his father save for the secret training he and his brother were put through to enhance their control over the force, otherwise it appeared there was nothing more important to the Terrek patriarch than work. Nothing except Dagos. Dagos who showed so much promise with the force. Dagos who in spite of being six years younger in both age and time learning than Ragos moved past him in their force training within a year and seemingly moved past him as the focus of their parents attention.
As his father’s attention stayed focused on his work and his youngest son, Ragos’ attention turned toward the streets. It was small things at first, staying out all night, trespassing, vandalism and of course fighting but as the years moved on, small things became much larger. By the time Ragos had turned sixteen, he and his crew had earned a real reputation for themselves. From boosting speeders, to selling spice, to hijakings and assaults the Dakov street gang was one of the most notorious small time crews that wasn’t connected to a bigger player.
Two years later and that was about to change or so Ragos had hoped. At eighteen years old Ragos had gotten turned on to the score that would change the fortune of his click for good. They were going to rob a Hutt owned casino, make off with potentially millions of credits and in the process be noticed by a rival gangster and get legitimate credit throughout the sector. That was the plan anyway, but a two weeks before the job Ragos did what Ragos does and got into another fight, this one ended with his adversary dead and Ragos arrested and imprisoned on manslaughter charges.
It’s now two years later and Ragos is set to be a free man again, will he walk out and find his burgeoning street empire still intact or is he about to face a brand new Nar Shaddaa?
