While the Star Destroyers in House Mecetti's navy gain the lion share of attention, the corvettes do the lion share of the work. House Mecetti has had the license to produce these ships for centuries at their Obulette shipyard, and they have made good use of that over the years. Unlike the star destroyers, corvettes are routinely used in wartime or defense operations, are sometimes destroyed, and are periodically replaced.
While the design of the Raider class corvette is now quite dated, it has not lost much in the way of utility over the years. Fast, tough, and capable in a role that requires all three, there is very little cause for the House to upgrade the true backbone of its fleet.
