Name: Ralen Zavros
Age: 36
Gender: Male
Species: Miraluka
Force Sensitive: Yes
Alignment: None

Appearance:

He has a lean figure and stands at around 5'11, just above the average height. He has black hair that is tied into a short braid at the back, reaching only to the base of his neck. He has relatively pale skin. He wears a black blindfold over his eyes, much like the rest of his species do. He wears a black suit with a black vest and undershirt. He wears a gold, detailed tie. He wears black pants which are held up by a belt with a golden belt buckle. The left notch of his suit is golden with a golden flower pin on it.

Weapons:

He carries on him a single lightsaber which produces an amber blade. The hilt itself is smooth and matte black, devoid of any markings or decorations, designed purely for function without expressing allegiance or style.

Personality and Philosophy:

He is devoid of emotion, feeling neither negative nor positive emotions. He talks in a soft-spoken voice which carries a perceived kindness to those who hear it, when in truth there is no emotion to come from his words. He feels no anger to those who wrong him, nor does he feel gratefulness to those who help him. He finds undeniable truths to be far rarer than people first think. To him, the Force is neither a living thing nor a simple energy field; he perceives it as a "flow," a boundless and indifferent undercurrent, weaving through existence without purpose or intent. He believes it to be something unknowable, neither kind nor cruel, operating beyond the concepts of balance or dichotomy. Instead of seeing light, dark, or even unity, Ralen perceives the Force as a reflection of the chaotic essence of the universe—a fundamental flow of existence that cannot be harnessed or truly understood, only glimpsed through transient moments.

He has no sense of Morality, justice, truth and sees everything of the like as (in reality) none existent. In his view, the only thing that happens are actions, done by others to follow their own self-constructed ideologies and desires. He believes these ideas are as subjective as tastes or preferences, neither inherently good nor bad, simply reflections of personal and cultural biases. To Ralen, actions are not right or wrong; they are simply actions. This perspective extends to the Force itself: he views it as an indifferent flow, beyond judgment or purpose, neither a force for balance nor a vehicle of destiny.

He believes the Jedi and Sith try to give some meaning to the Force to justify and explain their ideologies, instead of accepting the Force simply exists. The abilities granted by the Force are simply a reflection of how those who feel the force perceive it's use. Force abilities are not inherent to the force, but simply how a force user displays their belief of it.

When felt in the force, he simply feels like "him". Emotions nor intention can be sensed from him as he does not have either. As a result, while he can be sensed as a presence, one can't sense him much further than that.

Strengths:

Ralen's lack of attachment or emotional influence means he is immune to manipulation through anger, fear, or other emotions that often cloud judgment in Force users. He cannot be provoked into making impulsive decisions or diverted from his purpose, whatever that may be in any given moment. His actions are always deliberate, unshaken by fear or ambition.

Ralen's aura and presence are almost unreadable, which unnerves or confuses other Force users. His lack of detectable emotions or intentions makes him hard to anticipate in battle or negotiation. This ambiguity allows him to blend into situations, even among other Force users, without drawing attention or hostility. Enemies and allies alike find it difficult to interpret his motives, often making them cautious around him.

Ralen's patience is one of his greatest strengths. Unlike most Force users, he does not feel compelled to act or react immediately, allowing him to wait for the right moment to intervene or simply observe. This patience enables him to study his opponents, understand their strengths and weaknesses, and choose if or when he will engage. His patience also makes him nearly immune to common Jedi or Sith weaknesses, such as the impatience that leads to overconfidence or mistakes.

Weaknesses:

Ralen's detachment from emotion and morality makes him difficult to relate to, even for other Force users. His inability to truly empathize or form deep connections isolates him from others, making alliances challenging to maintain. People see him as cold, and many struggle to trust him. This isolation also means he rarely has allies who would risk their lives for him, leaving him vulnerable to situations where mutual support is necessary.

His lack of belief in concepts like truth, justice, or morality makes it impossible for him to inspire others. Ralen cannot rally people to a cause or bring groups together toward a common goal. His neutrality, while powerful for observation, is a serious hindrance in moments where conviction or leadership is required. Without any personal investment, he lacks the passion or charisma to motivate others or command loyalty, making him ineffective in group dynamics that require inspiration or unity.

Ralen's philosophical view that morality and justice are subjective can lead him to underestimate the real consequences of inaction. His belief that actions are inherently neutral blinds him to the pain and suffering his non-intervention can cause, as he sees such events merely as interactions without inherent meaning. This detachment can result in missed opportunities to prevent harm or enact meaningful change, sometimes leaving him complicit in tragedies he could have averted.

Background:

Ralen was born on a remote, barren world on the Outer Rim, an overlooked planet with little connection to the Republic, the Empire, or any faction. His parents were simple settlers, people who chose to live in isolation, uninterested in the galactic struggle for power. They raised Ralen with no teachings of the Force or any of the ideals of the Jedi or Sith, and his sensitivity to the Force remained a quiet, unspoken reality.

As he grew, Ralen began to perceive subtle shifts in the world around him: he would feel the movements of creatures beneath the soil, the patterns of the wind, and a sense of life ebbing and flowing around him. This attunement to the Force was purely experiential, without the vocabulary of "light" or "dark." For him, it was simply the pulse of existence. In the solitude of his environment, he became a quiet observer, a habit that eventually shaped his outlook.

When Ralen was a young teenager, his isolated world was visited by a ship of travellers seeking to exploit the planet's limited resources. These newcomers were mercenaries, and their brutal methods brought a level of violence and suffering that Ralen had never witnessed. His parents and the other settlers pleaded for mercy, but the mercenaries saw them as mere obstacles.

Though Ralen had a latent sense of power within him, he felt no impulse to intervene. His parents, however, begged him to use what little he could sense, to "fight for what's right" and to protect the innocent. But even then, he saw those pleas as expressions of fear and desperation, not any real sense of "good" or "evil." For Ralen, the actions of the mercenaries were motivated by their desires, while his parents' reaction was another expression of survival instinct.

Ultimately, the encounter ended in tragedy, with the settlers suffering greatly. Ralen, left standing alone amid the ruins, began to form the core of his philosophy. To him, the violence and loss he witnessed were neither moral atrocities nor battles between right and wrong—they were simply events. That encounter cemented his view that life is driven by action and reaction, devoid of inherent purpose or justice.

As he grew older, Ralen eventually encountered other Force users, including Jedi and Sith, who tried to recruit him. They each sensed his power, though it manifested strangely, with an emotional void and a peculiar aura they found difficult to decipher. Some Jedi hoped he could be guided to embrace their way, believing his detachment came from pain, while some Sith attempted to stoke feelings of rage or ambition within him, hoping to awaken a thirst for power.

However, both paths failed to resonate with Ralen. He found the Jedi's doctrines of peace and self-sacrifice to be a means of imposing meaning onto a world that had none. The Sith's path of power and dominance was equally hollow to him—a pursuit of control in a galaxy that, to him, was beyond control. For a time, he even studied both sides, not out of commitment but to better understand the ideas he rejected. Through this, he came to believe that both light and dark were merely expressions of human need, each clinging to illusions of purpose that obscured the true nature of the Force.

Eventually, Ralen fully embraced his own philosophy, seeing himself as a spectator to a cosmic play. The Force, to him, was not a guiding light or a tool of power but simply a current of energy, like a river flowing through all things. He saw that Force users painted the river with the colours of their beliefs, making it something it was not: a guide, a god, a weapon. Ralen believed that, stripped of these ideologies, the Force simply was, and he resolved to be neither guide nor judge of it, but only a witness.

He honed his Force abilities to reflect this detached outlook, creating techniques that lacked intention, passion, or forcefulness. When he did act, his actions were subtle, almost invisible, mirroring the neutral, ambient nature of the Force itself.

Now a mysterious figure known in whispers across the galaxy, Ralen wanders without purpose, driven only by curiosity. He is feared by some as an unsettling enigma, misunderstood by those who see in him either a hidden malice or an elusive virtue. To Ralen, however, he is neither hero nor villain, neither light nor dark, but something else entirely—a being who has rejected the imposed structures of belief in favour of seeing the Force in its purest, most unadorned state. He observes the galaxy, intrigued by the way others construct meaning, yet unfazed by their judgments or pleas.
