Ramen noodle diet.

For as long as physically possible I'm going to live off of Ramen, Water and very low calorie diet drink. Since I spend a good amount of time on this forum, why not document it here? Counting calories from the soda I will cut and the Ramen I will eat, I actually expect to lose a good amount of weight; this is all for experimenting though. Weight loss is not the motive!

I will be starting tomorrow (8/13) and will post a couple times a week. I'll be doing weekly weigh ins and I will post a weekly count of how many I ate. If the Ramen somehow inspires me to exercise more (I do nothing), I will post that.

Wish me luck.

Nevermind: Searched up scurvy, hair loss and all that good stuff. Ahh the stupid ideas I have at 2am, sorry if I got anyone excited. Plus, if I just ate Ramen (Nothing else) and somehow convinced myself to keep going, I'd die in between 1 and 2 months.

Terrible idea. First of all, Ramen is full of sodium and generally unhealthy, so you're not doing your body any favors by consuming it en masse. The same goes with soda, even diet. Your body needs more nutrients from a well-balanced diet.

If you want to lose weight, do it the old fashioned way. Start going to the gym while eating small, frequent meals to boost your metabolism. Eat healthy foods that are low in carbohydrates. And give up soda completely.

Weigh in's are just going to serve as another data, as well my descriptions on how I feel.

Idk why I'm doing this. Maybe it can have a sort of message, like take the interest off student loans so no college kid has to do this.

Dude. Terrible idea. Don't do it. I had to do it a year ago. Lived in an apartment and all I could literally afford was soup and ramen. I had an intestinal blockage a week in and wound up hospitalized for a day with $6K in bills. Find another diet, dude. One that's safer.

This is indeed a really unhealthy diet. There are so many better things to eat and are maybe about as cheap or expensive as ramen and the diet drink. Water, of course, is the best thing to drink, and there is so much good food to eat and are a lot healthier.

As you specify losing weight is not your motive, I don't understand the diet. What's the reason behind it?

We are not the ones to tell you what you should or shouldn't do, but we don't want you to have more health problems.

Ramen can be theoretically sustainable if you make your own and don't buy the packaged instant ramen. More effort, but making your own noddles, broth, and adding your own ingredients makes it less of a student snack and more a nice noodle soup.

Haha it was funny to read the original post then read the edit.

I lived off of ramen, totino's pizzas, and hot pockets my first semester of law school. Old habit from college + too busy to go out and eat or get smoothies for weekend hangovers and whatnot.
