  HISTORY​

  Three decades of violence, war, and death went by and three decades of violence, war, and death saw Ran.
  
  She was a babe when she was ripped from her mother's arms. She was then poked and prodded with Sith Science and Sorcery, educated and designed as a weapon for the Sith. Ran, known as Subject 19, was an elite commando under the iron grip of mind control by courtesy of the Sith Lord Jagos. Thirty years passed with Ran a prisoner in her own body, acting only on the volition of others. The grip on her mind was too strong to fight so with a blaster in her hand and a helmet over her face, she wounded, she subjugated, and she killed all because she was hardwired, brainwashed, and trained to do so. Luckily for Ran sometimes connections that were made become undone and after thirty years such was the fate of Ran.
  
  Her first real memory, the first time she'd ever blinked her eyes of her own volition, started with a concussion grenade going off. She flew back and hit the wall hard. She pushed herself up to her feet for the first time ever and ran her hand across her blaster rifle. The last thirty years were still there, present in her head but now she was in the driver's seat and she had such a clear image of what she had to do. She turned to the disoriented Lord Jagos, the true target of the concussion grenade, and blasted him. The first bolt hit his shoulder and knocked him off balance. The second found his stomach, crumpling the man. Ran took her helmet off so she could see Jagos' bewilderment in technicolor. She pinned Jagos to the floor under boot and heel, and as the Sith Lord let loose his final breath Ran loosed one last bolt from her rifle and ended the life of Lord Jagos. In that one action she also began her own.
  
  She fled the Sith Armies and their mission for galactic conquest. She freed her fellow "Children of Jagos." She discovered her attunement to the force, made allies of the New Jedi Order, and even joined their ranks. In a short time she came in contact with otherworldly species, masked vigilantes, heroes and villains of the second great hyperspace war, as well as force apparitions, psychotic killers, and gallant mentors. She had begun to find the family she thought she'd lost as a baby. She'd turned thirty years of hard sorrow into soft redemption and began a life of duty as a Knight in the New Jedi Order.
