- All standard features
- Detachable pods/connection ports: Possesses six detachable pods and connection ports assisted very repulsor and tractor beam technology for storing vehicles, cargo, machinery, or troops. This can be dropped while in motion and the pods will automatically make use of repulsor technology to prevent crashing, the connection ports can be used for things too big for the 15 meter pods, and multiple connection ports can be used, allowing vehicles or attachments of around 45 meters in length. Pods can also be picked up while the ship is still in motion, though it will have to slow down considerably to do so, or else risk losing its control of the pod, or crashing it into terrain.
- Can carry several vehicles and/or many troops and cargo for battlefield zones. This also is effective when trying to be used across the battlefield, as one or two pods can be dropped without slowing down.
- Technically the ship could be adapted for more personal means, however this would certainly require a bit of an overhaul.
- Effective against ground troops by using the point defense cannons, if not busy, and the Big Cats.
- Armament is not highly effective against ships of a similar size. Generally reliant one other ships for aid. This means they work best when paired with fighters or heavier ships.
- Very poor maneuverability. The ship's length, and the reliance on thrusters at the rear, make it very difficult to quickly change direction. Making it rely on its shields, armoring, and speed. This is even more accentuated when picking up troops.
The Rancor heavy Transport was designed in particular with releasing the ET-1’s onto a battlefield quickly and effectively. Each pod capable of holding one, allowing for the ship to carry six of them and literally drop them above their target location, the repulsor systems slowing the descent to a halt to prevent their destruction. Though they can hold other vehicles, troops, or equipment. The pods are heavily armored and, while connected, are also shielded. Additionally the Rancor’s can pickup the ships without landing, using tractor beams to lift them up, though this is certainly slower than the drop it still prevents the risk of the ship landing and moves faster than traditional connections. Additionally they are armed with mainly anti-fighter and anti-ground forces weaponry, meant to clear out the landing zone while they approach and hopefully being defended well enough to fend off fighters and ground troops until they can get out of range again. However, the ship is not designed for ship to ship combat. Gunships and heavier ships pose a significant threat, as they lack missile launchers and rely on point defense cannons and gatling guns, neither of which are designed for taking down heavier ships. They are meant to get in, clear, and get out.
Additionally, for much larger vehicles, the pods can be replaced with connection ports to allow the ship to hold onto something bigger at the cost of far less of anything else. This can also be more unstable, but would permit more variations, should a vehicle larger than an ET-1 be required.
Crew:
Minimum: 1 Pilot
Optimal:
1x Pilot
1x copilot
6x gunners
Passengers: main area can fit an additional 4 passengers.
Consumables: Main area can fit 1 month.
Cargo capacity: Can fit 25000 tons in the main area.
Pods carry their own varying storage or passengers, but not as accessible mid-flight. Not designed to technically be a part of the ship as they are specifically meant to be detachable.
