Balthier did little beyond train until the fall of the Galactic Alliance. His days were absorbed by education and training to one day take over as head of his house but with war on their door step he chose action instead of sitting on the side lines.
His house was small, but old and proud, and he chose to represent them among the ranks of the Wardens, defenders of their people. Under the watchful eye of his commanders he rose quickly in both knowledge and skill with the goal of gaining honor for his house and defending his people until his last breath.
