Random Encounters

So most of this guy's character development (the little that has happened) has happened off screen and I don't want that. I'm looking for any sort of random encounters out and about in space.

Well, probably not a bar scene or fight scene -- Sem isn't very aggressive, and they don't drink much. However, since that's probably eliminated most of the possibilities, do you have any ideas?
