Rank Tags for the Knights of Ren

Hey guys,

Many will know that for a while I've been pushing to have rank tags for the Knights of Ren included on the big list of available tags. Yet my suggestion when we first started this faction was denied by the admins. However, the admins are now doing a rank tag remake contest where *new* tags can also potentially be added. This might be our best opportunity to finally get the Knights of Ren included on the tag list.

Seeing as we (and the Knights) now have a bit of time and recognition behind us and are not just a flash in the pan, the admins might be more inclined to honor our wishes now. Personally, seeing our Knights forced to use either Sith or Dark Jedi tags makes my eyes twitch. So let's change that!

Unfortunately, I suck at photo-editing skills and I don't know how to make tags. But an enterprising individual who does can certainly help out in this endeavor. We will need tags for:

Acolyte of Ren
Knight of Ren
Master of Ren

Any wonderful artists out there want to do our faction a solid and take a crack at it? You shall be remembered for eternity as the one who finally immortalized the Knights of Ren on the rank tag page!

I'm always hesitant to put my work on front street, but if you guys like these I'll put them into the contest.

I went with Discipline of Ren rather than Acolyte for two reasons. 1) To distinguish us from the Sith tags and 2) I believe our Apprentice level is referred to as 'Disciples of the Beyond' (or it was, at one point)

My goal was to express an interplay between darkness and light, since I think that captures the Knights of Ren (or, at least Kylo Ren) in essence.

Also, because I'm a visual person, here's how it would look with the faction tag:

You're absolutely right, I meant to say 'Disciple' instead of 'Acolyte'. Brain fart on my part. Glad you caught that.

I think they look great. If no one has any objections, I say go ahead and add them to the contest.

This is great but - pretty sure the ranking system was changed by Aram in July http://starwarsrp.net/topic/90358-the-order-of-ren-player-ranks/

So the ranks should be Neophyte, Templar, and Seneschal.

I'm not sure if you took this into account or not, but speaking as someone who used to use the Witch tags, I often encountered that people didn't know that a Spellweaver was a knight equivalent because they were accustomed to the Apprentice-Knight-Master system. So my concern with that structure is that people aren't going to know how one of those tags works in relation to the others.

[member="Boo Chiyo"] don't remove them yet. I do share your concerns about the esoteric names not being quite so recognizable though. Let's just wait to see what [member="Aram Kalast"] wants to do.

These look fantastic, and I like the names as they are if anything these would be great for sig tags.

For the rank tags I'm cool with what [member="Boo Chiyo"] has done to be put forward. The IC ranks are flavour onto the Force ranks if that makes sense.

However for prosperity sake if a set wanted to made up with the new ranks in it for looks I wouldn't mind seeing it.
