- Description: A new cat breed with a lot of feet, created with genetically engineering (bioengineering) for those who love exotic animals. They are perfectly perfect pets, unsuitable for living outdoors. They are infinitely gentle, they love to be the centre of the world, perfect friends and companions for those who want a pet or an affectionate family member in the long run. They pays off the time spent on it by purring.
- Breathes: Type I.
- Average Height of Adults: 30-60 centimetres | 2-4 centimetres (mini version)
- Average Length of Adults: 2-6 metres | 5-15 centimetres (mini version)
- Skin color: Variable, depends on their race.
- Hair color: Variable, they can be tabby, polka dot, white, long-haired, bald, black, and can be found in any of the traditional colours that are characteristic of cats. Extra colours (such as pink, purple, green, etc.) can be created or bred according to individual needs.
- Distinctions: Depending on the breeding, they can come in different colors and sizes. It mainly depends on the race and the parents, so there are countless different variations. Each of them has a lot of pairs of legs all over their body. The color of their fur can be different, just like traditional cats. Gender can be distinguished by a medical examination because they are similar in appearance. Although typically males have larger heads and more robust bodies, they are slightly larger and larger than females. In old age, it is possible that their fur will turn gray or their fur will be paler if they are very old.
- Races: (only the best known races)
- Shorthair: The traditional version, short-haired cats. The number of variations is almost endless, from a single colour to hair that boasts a great many colours.
- Long-haired: One of the most popular breeds are the long-haired cats. The number of variations is almost endless, from a single colour to hair that boasts a great many colours.
- Extra long: Their size is larger than that of all their other breeds, averaging eight to nine metres in length, but it is not uncommon for any of them to reach a length of ten metres.
- Extra short: They are exactly the same size as traditional domestic cats, only they have just a lot more legs.
- Munchkin: They are the breed with dwarf legs, which is why their gait can seem very funny and clumsy and their height is also below that of the others.
- Long-legs: They have long legs like Serval cats, so their average height is above the other breeds.
- Bald: They may be told they are bald, but not true, they have very tiny and short fur, so their touch is soft, yet they look really hairless.
- Extra colors: Specimens with a very unique colour, created with a separate bioengineering at the request of the mariner. These include, for example, pink, checkered, other patterned, and specimens of different colours.
- ForeverKitten: A new breed, mixed with ForeverKittens, they will remain kittens forever (100 years); for those who don’t want their cat to grow up.
- Mini version: A new breed again, the mini version, which will never be bigger than a grown or large caterpillar. In return, she is very cute and eats little. And it fits in a small space.
- Hybrids: Varieties crossed with various other breeds of cats. For example, loth-cat. In all of these cases, the offspring will look like the other breed of cat and not the Rast'an'cat, it will just have more legs than four.
- Others: Subspecies multiply among each other to create additional individuals with infinite possibilities. Some of them can become a race over time.
- Force Sensitivity: Non-Sensitive
- Cute: Infinitely cute, who can resist such a multi-legged, “loong cat”? Guaranteed community favourite!
- Purring: They love to purr and rub, this is when you can caress them and to stuff them. In luckier cases, they can even be picked up, in which case they like to embrace their owner.
- Friendly and playful: They are usually friendly (if others don’t hurt or poke them), they love to play on top of that. They playfully hunt for anything that moves, plays music or beeps. They can be tied up for hours with any cheap toy.
- Loyal: It is genetically programmed into them that they will not leave their owner for some delicious morsels. Thus, whom they have chosen for themselves once, they will forever persevere with their chosen and owner.
- Long life: Unlike other cats, their average age is almost twice as long, they live on average 20-25 years, but it can go up to 40 years if they are kept in very good conditions. Thus, they can be a faithful companion for almost a lifetime.
- Hugging: They are long enough to hug around and snuggle close to their owner.
- Non allergic: They are bred and developed in such a way that no one has allergic reactions to them.
- Vomit: Why chew food? Or why eat grass or chew things when they know it will be over? Like traditional cats, they also prefer to vomit on carpets or clothes.
- Furniture killer: Even average cats can ruin furniture with their claws. Well, this is exponentially true for them when they start sharpening claws on all their paws.
- Don’t touch: Caress me, but only with your eyes! They are very self-conscious, so they can and should only be caressed when they want to.
- Lots of sleep: Because cats, as they get older, they sleep more and more. And of course, they are always awake when their owner is not or just trying to sleep.
- Always under feet: Due to their size, this is many times true. They can snake around the owner’s leg perfectly, reaching for them to fall or not be able to move. And of course, always, they should be everywhere they shouldn’t be.
- Owner’s lunch: They always want to eat what their owner. They are also able to climb on the table for the best bites.
- Non-combat pets: They are just pets, not viable outdoors and are likely to die very soon.
- Diet: They are carnivores, but knowing them is guaranteed to always want to eat what their owner is eating at that moment.
- Communication: They communicate with their owner through purring, body language, and meowing. Between each other with body language.
- Technology level: N/A
- Religion/Beliefs: To be cute, to purr, to sleep a lot, and to vomit the owner’s rug or clothes.
- General behaviour:
- Social behaviour: Rast'an'cat are basically lonely creatures, they only desire human company. Even so, they can quickly make friends with their peers if someone wants to keep more. They are basically territorial animals, so if there are more than one, they also fight the power struggle with each other (this doesn’t necessarily mean an actual struggle). They always keep themselves first, their owners exists to serve them. Until they feel threatened by their friendly behaviour, they are perfect companions and friends. Children, or their owners, are often protected by them. Because they’re not really warriors, they do so by growling and blowing, possibly with threatening meow.
- Reproduction: They become sexually mature at 8-12 months, and after 3 months of pregnancy they give birth to 1-8 offspring. Offspring are separated from their parents at the age of 12-13 weeks. Until now, they have been socializing with their mother and learning everything from them. If they are separated from the parent earlier, the cat may also have behavioural problems.
- Childhood and Maturity: In their youth, they demand the companionship of their siblings much more than later. If they stay together, they won’t have a problem with them later either, but they need to be accustomed to individuals from other litters. They often play as a kid, that is, when they are not sleeping, eating, or bathing. They need less sleep as a child, but as they get older they sleep more and more.
- General things: Most of their day, like all cats, they sleep. They’re mostly awake at night, there’s really no change in that. They really like to hunt and play, for which they use all their legs. They are often talkative and often meow back to their owner, as if they understand what he/she is telling them. Otherwise, almost all of them have their own character, so it is quite difficult to get into more detail about their habits and behaviours.
A few years ago, a co-worker at HPI and Spear wanted some exotic pet as a gift for her child because the little girl had heard of a multi-legged cat in a fairy tale and was fascinated by the story. Thus began the creation of Rast'an'cats from a simple domestic cat by genetically engineering (bioengineering). And after a year or two of experimentation, the first Rast'an'cats were formed. There may have been some sith magic and sith alchemy in the process, but there is no official data on this, so it is possible that these cats were originally sithspawns.
But today it doesn’t matter, because in fact, countless generations have been born since then, they have no connection with the Force. Over the years, countless different subspecies have been developed or bred by scientists from HPI and Spear, and the Rast’an’cats has reached every point in the galaxy, conquered people’s hearts, and is considered a joy pet.
Fortunately, they are not very difficult to keep, they eat the same foods that traditional cats eat. If someone wants to breed them, that’s not a complicated task either. They don’t even need an exotic vet because vets and medical droids take care of them if necessary. However, what is suggested is that they be neutered by their owners because they can save cats from countless diseases and the intervention will also increase their lifespan. Countless cancers cannot develop like this.
They are so widespread that they are available in every pet store today, thanks to which HPI and Spear also receive quite a few financial stakes. What’s more important to note is that because they’re not really able to defend themselves, and their build isn’t fit to live outdoors (sunbathing outside for a few minutes a day or walking, of course, doesn’t belong here) for long periods of time. Thus, sellers sell them only for strictly indoor animal husbandry.
There are competitions and shows for Rast’an’cats on a lot of planets where every participant and cat owner can show their own pet that they bred. There are also huge competitions between different breeders to see who can breed as many special specimens as possible.
