Description: The Raxis Lightning Company is a small company of infantry on speeder bikes that act as a shock troop in combat. The origins of the company is the same as most of the Raxis forces in that they started out as rebels on Doldur seeking to break the tyranny of their dictator. They took to using speeder bikes once Clan Raxis stepped in and started to direct the rebellion. They would go out and attack supply convoys heading from city to city to starve out their enemies. Once the rebellion was won, many members decided to stay with the clan and were eventually officially formed into the Lightning Company.
The Raxis Lightning Company uses rather simple, but effective tactics. They use their speed and ability to turn quickly to assault infantry and vehicles swiftly before they can strike back. They always ride in pairs of one driver and one gunner. The driver focuses on keeping them on the flanks and in the blind spots of their enemy while the gunner uses their WESTAR MG-02 to tear their enemy to pieces. The driver will use their speeder's weapons to open up fire as they engage then the gunner takes over afterwards. The favored targets of the company are other vehicles such as troop transports, tanks, and artillery. The MG-02 ability to shot energy missiles is used to destroy or damage the vehicles to attempt to force them to leave the battle or completely remove them from the fight. When engaging fortified locations, the company will use hit and run tactics of rushing up to the position while opening fire with the speeder's weapons then as they get within optimal range for the gunner suddenly turn to the side then completely around and head away from the enemy. The gunner will open fire on the enemy as they turn and aim to destroy any turrets or artillery that may be located there. The company must watch out for heavy fire however because of their lack of armor. They do come with some shields to help provide more protection to both them and their bikes, but it is not as effective as the armor being used by transports and tanks. The riders are also exposed on their bikes so they can be easier to hit than if they were in a covered attack speeder.
The Raxis Lightning Company can have the infantry leave the bikes, but their load out does not support it well. Each speeder has an M5 stored on it in easy reach for the driver if they are forced to abandon their bike, and each infantry has a blaster pistol for emergency use. They also carry extra power cells with them, but the total number of extra cells is limited due to both having a Power-pack on them to be used by the gunner to power either his weapon or shield for longer periods of time. If they become dismounted or do dismount, they will seek to take cover and hold out at their position until aid can arrive. If they do so to engage in an assault, they will act as reserve forces or attempt to hold a position once it is taken so the other forces can proceed. They will avoid dismounting however for as long as possible since their load outs support their shock tactics on the speeders and not ground assaults.
