STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
+ Great flier. Even amongst her kind, Raya is supremely graceful in the air. She's much faster in midair, can fly much higher, and has better control than almost every other child her age. The skies are her playground, after all, and she has a greater right to them than any other Vanr. A weakness that she's unaware of is that Raya relies on her wings so much that without them, she's horribly crippled.

+ Combat. To be totally blunt, Raya is a bloodthirsty she-demon. Her natural weapons combined with her preference for self-enhancement and telekinetic abilities, lightsaber training, and flight all combine to make her quite impressive in battle. The fact that she loves nothing more than the feel of flesh between her claws probably doesn't hurt, either.

+ "Alter" abilities. Basically, if there's a way that Raya can use the Force as a graceless bludgeon to smash challenges around her into tiny pieces, she's got surprising potential with it. She has solid telekinetic abilities, and her grasp on self-enhancement Force powers is quite firm. She normally uses these in combat to enhance her body and bridge the durability and strength gap that her hollow skeleton curses her with.

- Hollow bones. In order to actually bear her aloft, Raya's body is much lighter, and thus noticeably more fragile than a human of her height would be. This especially applies to bludgeoning attacks, like taking a rock to the ribs or a punch to the jaw. Basically, if she doesn't enhance her abilities with the Force, Raya's physique is much less intimidating than it appears.

- Hair trigger. Being a young Sith trainee and a member of a species known for its tempestuous emotions, Raya is almost incapable of controlling herself, even when it would be necessary. This means she gets in over her head, and causes genuine problems in more delicate situations. Having Raya around in battle is a decided bonus, but she's a disadvantage to her allies in any situation in which "stab it until it stops twitching" is not an acceptable solution.

- Anything passive. Raya views the Force as a weapon, rather than an aspect of life. This doesn't affect the strength of her abilities, but the manner of Force powers she can use proficiently. While capable of basic sensory (for use in combat) and some mild telepathic abilities, Raya's talent with "passive" Force abilities ends right there. Don't count on her to meditate, heal, or cast illusions. She's got buggerall ability with any of that.

SHIP:
None. She dislikes starships.

BIOGRAPHY:
The Prynn family is probably the most prolific single group of Vanr on all of Kaas. More Sith recruits have come from their numbers than from any other single clan...tribe...thing, and as a result they're held to a higher standard. In every generation, if at least one of their new hatchlings is not Force sensitive, the Prynn who have become Sith take it out on the elders. If at least one Prynn hatchling isn't in every single new batch of Sith acolyte trainees, the punishment is even worse. One might understand if the family elders were a little harsh on their new hatchlings with potential.

Raya has always been at the top of her class. She was the smartest, the best fighter, the strongest in the Force...everything that she could possibly hope for in order to earn herself a strong position as a Sith Apprentice some day. She took to the extremely harsh training quite a bit more easily than her dozens of siblings, taking each beating in stride and rising above the competition in turn.

When she was finally old enough to draw the attention of a genuine Sith for her training, Raya was equal parts ecstatic and smugly proud. It was fitting, after all. She had been groomed for it from the day she had been brought into the world. Nothing - not other Apprentices, not rebellious Jedi, and not her jealous kin - would prevent her from achieving what she believed to be her destiny.
