RAYNA LOCKLEY
Project Aurora, this is what Rayna was brought up in a shadowy group who would use any means necessary to further their agenda. That agenda was creating weapons. Chief among these where the cybernetics division, which usually consisted of abducted individuals who were modified against their will and then conditioned to follow orders. Then there was the intelligence division, the one she was raised in. Rayna was not born into a loving family, nor was she conceived in a traditional manner.
For decades genetic samples were taken from force users, non-force users, and even aliens alike to get the perfect cocktail of DNA and traits that they wished, Rayna was that result. Genetically she was faster and stronger than most, with heightened senses above a human. What truly set her apart from the other candidates however is that Rayna at birth was gifted with psionic abilities, in addition to this it would later be discovered that she was also an empath.
As she grew older and trained she would become part of the project's capture and recovery teams. In short, when a candidate was found, a team would be sent to abduct that individual. Sometimes however the mission was different, sometimes the conditioning on the cyborgs failed and the recovery teams were sent out to retrieve the wayward cyborgs, and if they couldn't retrieve them, they were to be terminated.
This would be Rayna's life until one day she was sent to Nar Shadda, a breakout from another facility had been her mission and when she arrived she only found the dead within the facility as it burned, the two cyborg escapees had disappeared. Rayna was able to trace them to Confederate space, it was at this point she made a decision far from her controllers and their watchful eyes Rayna went dark in wild space for nearly a decade.
Rayna would later resurface within the Confederacy where she would take on the job as a member of Shadowfeed, taking on assignments that were deep cover operations as part of the Revenant program. These darker than black operations were quite literally suicide missions, yet she came back from each one. Rayna had unparalleled success in the field so much so that it caught the eye of the Vicelord
Darth Metus
where she was offered the job of Minister of Secrets, to lead the entirety of the Confederate Intelligence apparatus.
She had accepted the post but was still settling in when the Unmaker appeared on Naboo, the sudden strike was not totally unexpected however Shadowfeed knew the lawless regions were stirring yet the scope was unexpected. In the wake of the incident on Naboo, a general call was sent out to all Shadowfeed operatives. That directive was to cease operations, and return, it was sent at the highest priority on all civilian and military frequencies in the clear.
