- Modified Scope: The rifle's scope features a screen visible to Miraluka, and those using Force Sight.
- Enhanced Zoom: The scope is capable of amplifying the image displayed by a considerable degree, allowing it to double as macro-binoculars when detached from the rifle.
- Bolt-Action: The rifle is designed to have a bolt-action aesthetic, even if unnecessary for a blaster type weapon. The bolt action does, however, prevent misfires, requiring the user to cycle the bolt after every shot.
- Runed Weapon: The Rifle bears a set of runes on both sides of the barrel that glow from stock to muzzle with each "pull" of the trigger. Merely a vanity item, no effect on the efficiency of the rifle.
- Force Trigger: The Rifle does not have a traditional trigger mechanism, requiring the Force to activate.
- Extreme Punch: Voph doesn't like having to shoot things more than once. The Rifle has the stopping power to shred most standard issue armors, and can dent even the mighty Beskar with a single shot.
- Blaster: Because the shot is mostly energy, the rifle requires very little compensation or lead time when firing across distance.
- Long Range: The Rifle is capable of shooting across very long range, as one would expect of such a weapon.
- Force Activation: The use of the Force to fire the weapon allows for greater precision, as the user does not need to make a physical movement to fire the weapon. This also allows the user to fire the weapon even when they are not holding it.
- Recoil: The rifle has very high recoil, preventing rapid fire shots.
- Specialized Scope: The scope is custom built for Miraluka, rendering it useless to eyed species.
- Force Activated: The rifle has no firing mechanism, requiring the wielder to be able to use The Force in order to fire the weapon. This feature also limits the weapon from being fired FROM a Force Suppressed area (IE, Ysalamiri bubble), but the rifle can fire INTO a Force Suppressed area with no issue.
The V-04h Sniper, named for the being it was created for, is a prototype sniper rifle designed to offer its wielder a unique advantage on the battlefield. Voph offered several design inputs on the rifle, specifically requesting that the firing mechanism be designed to his exact specifications. He later imbued the weapon to act properly under the influence of the Force, creating a "Force Trigger" instead of a physical trigger. Voph, however, was rather fond of the old bolt-action rifles of yesteryear, and so directed that the weapon be designed to emulate this firing style, even if not necessary as a blaster rifle that runs on a power cell.
The Runes Voph placed along the barrel serve as an intimidation tactic, and glow with the same energy as the bolt itself, giving the rifle an aura of possessing more punch than it actually does. The rifle is, however, considerably powerful, designed with anti-infantry in mind. And with the recent unrest surrounding the Mandalorians, Voph wanted the rifle to be effective against all possible enemies, even those clad in beskar. While the rifle does drop in power across longer distances, it still wreaks havoc across all but the longest of engagement zones. This weapon was designed with deadly efficiency in mind, in spite of the various aesthetic liberties taken in its design, and in the hands of the man it was created for, it can lay down an impressive barrage of fire...
