Developed as one of the structure decks for the new expansion Age of Chaos, Reach of the Tyrant is a structure deck created by Galactic Illusionary Gaming with a heavy focus on the prolific and powerful Zambrano family of Sith and one of its prominent members,
Darth Prazutis
. The supporting Forceful Being cards are mainly drawn from cards inspired by the personal power base of the Zambranos, with the introduction of two new Being cards depicting the Blackblades, last seen in Black Tyrant's Destruction. Many of the cards have effects or abilities that either stack and disadvantage your opponent or increase their attack and defense values to overpower your enemy through pure damage output, representing the shadowy reach of the Zambranos and their martial might.
The deck also includes a card inspired by the abomination known as the Lotek'k, a supernatural being from another dimension that was horrifically unleashed on the world of Asation during the time of the Sith Empire. Rumors persist that one of the chief architects of that ritual was Darth Prazutis himself and that he had taken the horror to an unknown location to further study it and, to the development team's fear, dominate it to unleash it upon the galaxy again.
The deck also has brought back two cards from older sets, Cybernetic Augmentation I from Galaxy at War and Durandal Implant from Industrial Politics, to go alongside the new Cybernetic Augmentation II and the theme of synthesizing flesh and metal that is prevalent among the Zambranos and their followers.
