STRENGTHS
Mediator: The Deluge was officially appointed as a mediator between House Io and the Brain Demon, and this role also technically falls to Rebecca. If she is in charge, she will attempt to warn others not to make any deals with the abomination who created her.
Home on the Range: Rebecca is a skilled sniper who excels with ranged weapons. Lying in wait for the perfect moment to strike, she has boundless patience and doesn't waste ammo.
Lionheart: Rebecca, like her namesake, is strong, smart, proud, and brave. Her continued defiance of the Deluge is a testament to her strength of will.
WEAKNESSES
Rebecca Who?: Rebecca can only take the reins under specific circumstances. If she's around Percival, for instance, it's a lot easier for her to resurface. Otherwise, in most cases she's easily overpowered by the other Deluge personalities.
What's the Force?: In terms of raw power, Rebecca is one of the weakest personalities housed within the Deluge's body. She had received no training in the Force prior to her assimilation (in fact, she wasn't even aware she had that potential), and while she is starting to pick up a few tricks now, her skills remain limited. If she attempts to call upon the other personalities for assistance, they will probably use the opportunity to kick her out of the driver's seat and seize control.
Force Voids: Force Voids render her heavily weakened. This is a consequence of her being a Sithspawn, as her flesh is imbued with the Force.
Nullification Resin: Nullification Resin is lethal to her physiology, causing necrosis of her flesh. If it isn't removed quickly, she may die, and the resulting damage is slow to heal.
Maternal Instincts: Not only does Rebecca love her son Thel, the entirety of the Deluge does as well. If he is threatened or placed in danger, Rebecca will not be able to maintain sole control for long as the rest of the personalities rush to protect him.
BIOGRAPHY:
Rebecca Hahn (later Rebecca Io) was born on Nar Kreeta, a former Hutt colony and major trade world. Her family were simple farmers with a simple faith in the Church of the Force. Rebecca grew up with several siblings and a best friend named Debra.
Tragedy struck when she was a teenager as her homeworld was conquered by the Bryn'adul. The invasion was swift and sudden, and in only a few hours her family, friends, and nearly everyone she knew was dead. Rebecca narrowly managed to escape the planet by boarding an evacuation shuttle.
Left on her own, she was drawn to the fledgling House Io, a rising minor faction led by Laertia Io, a former Jedi Shadow. Since they seemed the least likely to try and take advantage of a young and desolate refugee, she initially joined them for the benefits they offered, but soon took to the cause of House Io with zeal. She met and fell in love with another House Io recruit named Danithel Hahn, and the two were soon married. While Rebecca was pregnant with their son Thel, Danithel was killed in battle.
Falling into a deep depression, she suffered a crisis of faith and began to question her loyalty to House Io. Before she could act on her feelings, she was approached by a Chaplain Neutralizer named Percival Io. Percival would help her heal and restore her faith, establishing a close bond between the two which seemed poised to grow into something more.
During the pivotal Battle for Tython, Rebecca was part of House Io's forces. Her team boarded the Avatar of War, a Mawite superweapon, and successfully destroyed it. At one point during the assault, Rebecca, driven by her absolute faith in the cause, exhibited a willingness to sacrifice herself in order to ensure the Avatar's destruction.
Rebecca's faith was to be rewarded in an extremely twisted way.
An entity known as the Brain Demon took an interest in her and whisked her into its realm seconds before the Avatar exploded. Manipulated into a deal, Rebecca was made to pay for the Demon saving her life by becoming a member of the Brain Demon's Cult. Despite her protests she was forcibly converted and reforged into the Deluge, a sadistic Witch whose mind is crowded by multiple personalities.
The Brain Demon permitted Rebecca one small mercy: she was able to keep her love for her son. This simple allowance has kept Rebecca's personality from being lost in the sea of faces.
