Rebirth Of The Minotaur

Standing before the Academy of the One Sith, Asterion was in awe of the intricate design and detail of the structure.

From training in hangar bays and private chambers with the Sith Order in and around Teth, Asterion had never been part of something as big as this; sweeping invasions on planets, eradication of Jedi and the pursuit of strength and power through unification.

Now he was tentatively about to become part of the One Sith, Asterion needed to wait and see if there was the right path ahead for him to learn what the Sith could teach him from the power inside him. Combat, Force power and lightsaber skills were all familiar with Asterion, but there was so much he felt he could give, and so much more he could become.

Asterion was one who craved adventure, combat and the power to become a Sith people respected and feared and who could lead others into a war to change the galaxy and crush his enemies under his boots.

He crossed his hands behind his back, still in his Knight armour from the Sith Order, and paced slowly up and down waiting to see what, or who, would come his way.

A tall figure would make his way from the Shuttle port towards the Academy. The figure wore solid black robes with a hood hiding any distinguishing features of his face. I single thread hung from his neck holding the tooth of a dragon. A single saber hung from his waist but there was the tale tell bulge of another weapon hooked behind is back not hidden but not in view either.

Stopping beside [member="Asterion"] the figure spoke his voice soft but still carried.

"Magnificent isn't she?" "Have your ever seen or felt anything more welcoming in your life?"

Surrounded by so much power in the Force, Asterion wasn’t actively aware of his surroundings and only noted the hooded figure when he joined him. It felt strange that there was no animosity towards him, as everyone recently he had met had either been out to manipulate him, fight him or scorn him. Surrounded by those sharing his vision, ultimately, was empowering.

He turned his head slightly, focusing on the tooth that hung on his torso.

”I’ve spent my time amongst bunkers, tombs, star-ships and skyscrapers and haven’t seen anything that defines a culture or society as intricately as this.”

He hesitated and extended his hand, not one for protocol or who or what demanded it in a place so full of Sith.

”Asterion. Darth Mierin brought me here, now I’m finding my way, so to speak.”

Arturious chuckled.

"I did not breath air that was not recycled a dozen times over until I was nearly an adult."

Arturious smiles dropping his hood from his head his hair short but not quite buzzed from the time he spent in recovery. Turning to [member="Asterion"]

"It certainly beats the view on Alderaan." "Arturious Engel, what brings you to the One Sith?"

Turning to face the hard-nosed Sith, his voice was welcoming and calm in contrast to his stern face, clean cut hair and tall frame. Asterion smirked and nodded at his comments, looking back at the Academy.

"Let's just say I was heading down a one way street with my last Master. I need to be part of something big - something rewarding for the skills I can bring to the Sith; with what I was born to be."

He didn't meet Engel's gaze, but he had nothing to hide.

"I can break bones, swing a saber and have a handful of Force abilities but I can do more with the right guidance. I can be something that will define the One Sith. I feel it."

Same old dream he'd probably heard a dozen times from those who had fallen beside him.

"So how does this unit operate? I mean, who's in charge and what protocol do you follow?"

Arturious chuckled with a shrug.

"Does anyone ever really lead with a dozen Darth whoever's running around building and strengthening their power bases?"

Arturious smiled.

"Who knows what protocols their are around this place." "My first day I was challenged by an unnamed face talking to another unnamed face." "I didn't even know her name until after the duel was over." "The other one.............."

Arturious scratched is chin thoughtfully.

"........ still not sure who she is." "Let's see when we took Csilla I don't recall any individual leaders." "When we took Copera..........nope still nothing." "We did fell a dragon the a monstrous being Tsavong I think somebody called him." "Not sure where he comes from but he is not hard to pick out in a crowd." "He seemed to have some status around here." "When we took Alderaan someone I didn't know I think someone called her Daelia or was it Junra?" "Anyway she lead the assault on one of the objectives."

Arturiosu shrugged.

"I have no idea what goes on around here." "I just get on the ship when somebody says there is a fight somewhere" "Between three planets and a Dragon hunt apparently I impressed the right unknown to me person of power and influence to earn a place at the table as a full Sith."

Arturious ran his head over his head.

"I never set out to be Sith I just happened to end up on a Sith world when I left home." "I guess fate lead me here or the force..........who knows."

Nodding gently at what Engel said, Asterion found it appealing there was more to just hierarchy; it was about doing, and unification in a common goal without suffocating yourself.

While he had been without direction for a while, he knew he didn’t need leading as such – simply pointed to the chaos and released with the right resources to make him unstoppable.

”That’s interesting. I myself was born on Korriban, and found there by the One Sith. I guess you could say when people go looking for trouble, they find it, and they found me.”

A few glimpses of his days aboard the star-ship of Kyros and his teachings and resolve flashed in his mind as it felt like years ago he had been the eager Acolyte on the bring of everything, only now to be stood on the edge of nothing.

”Who’s really charge here, I mean, for establishing what I can do and where I can be needed? I don’t even know what to call myself; someone has to be pulling the strings. I’ve got it all here, inside, but it needs to be uncaged and I need to find the ones to do it. I’m no good to anyone in my state.”

Arturious smiled.

"I originally trained on Korriban before coming here." "Never met the Dark Lord, no idea who he or she is." "You could always try walking up to the Palace and going hey new guy here who runs this Hutt's backside."

Arturious chuckled.

"I wouldn't recommend it though." "Unfortunately I don't know the answer to your question." "I never cared who gave the orders." "I am in it for the fights not the power and position." "All the Lords around here are friendly enough from my experience so far."

Arturious motions towards the entrance to the Academy.

"Two or three of them can be found wandering the halls." "A few more actively teaching Acolytes." "Roll the dice my friend and may the force guide you to what you seek."

Following Engel’s gesture forward, Asterion slowly walked just behind the Sith towards the Academy, looking up at the haunting structure as it loomed over them.

”Thank you for your honesty, it’s refreshing to hear. I gather you are doing something right as you’re still alive? I, as well as the entire galaxy, is well aware of the mighty push for domination the One Sith are making; it’s a trying time for you all and I am sure you’re lapping it up out there.”

Looking ahead at the floor as his dark boots paced forward, he thought for a moment.

”I will see any of these Lords that come our way and see what they offer. I’ve got nothing to lose by starting at the bottom – but it’s not somewhere I intend to stay, of course.”

A small smile crept up on his lips.

Arturious chuckled as he walked towards the academy going nowhere fast but still moving with a calm purpose.

"Doing something right?............ maybe I am and maybe the force as not decided what to do with me yet..........maybe a just have nine lives and have only used up three of them so far."

Arturious stopped suddenly as if a thought he had overlooked occurred to him.

"Why not just seek out the person that recruited you..........what did you say her name was Mierin?" "Sure she had some goal....some purpose for approaching you to begin with." "It may be worth it to talk to her and see what that purpose may be."

Arturious resumed walking leaving [member="Asterion"] to respond or not as he chose.

As Engel moved away, retreating to his own plots and plans within the One Sith, leaving Asterion with his words, the Minotaur spoke up to his back.

”Darth Meirin, yes, crimson skinned and looking like a walking demon. Where can I find her?”

He walked to the Sith.

”And where can I find you, I mean, if I need some…help with things, like discovering the powers that make people stronger and formidable in the ranks.”

If he was to move on in with the Sith, he needed allies to watch his back.

Arturious laughed joyfully.

"I focus more only living by the sword or in this case the saber." "If it is powers you are looking for I am afraid I would not be too much help." "I tend to stick to the basics."

Arturious smiled.

"That being said I can usually be found in one of the training rooms either watching the duels or participating in them myself."

"Thank you [member="Arturious Engel"]. I don't like to say we are ones who have friends, that's just a weakness you can't afford to have, but I value your help, I won't forget the name."

He backed away, but stopped and turned to him again.

"I'll be sure to come find you for combat skills, for sure. And if you need help with anything, anytime - just shout. I'll be happy to crack some spines for you."

Asterion mocked a salute and considered where to go find the one who summoned him.

It was time to make footsteps in the sand of the One Sith.

Arturious gave [member="Asterion"] a nod and a smile.

"Kill well friend and may you find what you seek."
