Seeing as they were going to Nal Hutta, Aerith nodded quietly, fumbling with her hands as the ship lurched forward and carried the pair to their destination. She didn't respond at first to Shai's comment about it working out okay, but being called adorable made the cyborg want to melt through the floor panels of the ship.
"N-No, you're the first one who has told me that. Thanks..." Aerith replied, turning to look at the woman who had apparently done so much for her, and yet Aerith had no way to repay her. Shai was trying to hard to make sure she wasn't freaking out, and yet Aerith couldn't help but to freak out. How could she not with everything going on?
Reaching down on the world, Aerith had absolutely no memory of having come to this planet to begin with. As far as she knew, this was her first time on the Hutt world, and yet according to Shai they had gotten wrapped up in business here. She didn't say much as the pair traveled to see this doctor, rather Aerith was horrified at the stench of this place, trying to fathom why it reminded her of the sewer tunnels she navigated through when she was young. Entering the clinic, she had expected to see a familiar face, or perhaps she was just hoping a tad too much. The man who greeted them seemed to know Shai, and apparently Aerith as well, though he didn't seem to recall her name. The cyborg stood awkwardly as the pair talked, trying to think of what to say, before Shai threw her on the spot. Aerith looked wide eyed at the pair, blinking several times before she could finally muster up something akin to the dilema they were facing.
"I...think I'm suffering from memory loss. I have no memory of meeting you, or Shai, or anything that Shai has told me about. I know I had some surgery done in the last few months, but memory loss wasn't covered under that." Aerith muttered to herself for a moment, before shaking her head, trying to convince herself that she couldn't trust her Sith officers to tinker with her brain; they had messed up once, they could very well do so again.
"Shai said you might be able to help me, so that's why we are here." The doctor nodded to himself, hearing what Aerith had to say, before looking to Shai.
"Alright, well, if it's a brain implant we need to sedate her and take a look. Shouldn't take too long to see the problem." He stood up, motioning the pair towards the door, and would lead them into the familiar settings of his office; or familiar to Shai at least. Aerith was a mess of nerves and worry, as she sat on the table and allowed the doctor to set her up for the proceedure. It was painless thankfully, just a few ivs, a numbing shot, and the blonde soon found herself slipping into a deep sleep. Once the woman was out, the cybernetics expert went to work.
The doctor set to work, allowing Shai to watch if she so wished, as he took a scanning device and placed it above Aerith's head. He began to fiddle with the device, though Shai could only see strange shapes appearing on the screen, which would look like nonsense to her without the context. After several moments of checking, the doctor's face would begin to grow more and more concerned, until he finally stood up and walked away from his patient. He shook his head several times, looking back to Aerith, then towards a drawer her had in the corner. He said nothing at first, ignoring whatever Shai would ask him, before erupting in a statement that the woman probably didn't want to hear.
"Shai, what in the hell did you bring her here for? She even has tracking software in her!" He pulled out the drawer of a cabnit, and began reaching through it looking for something. Aerith laid abondoned in the operating chair, though the doctor seemed to have something else on his mind as he moved with a fervor.
"I can't fix this, I can't do anything other than put her out of her misery." He muttered, shaking his head as if refusing something, his voice sounding distraught. He stopped what he was doing, looking to Shai with a looked that had witnessed something horrifying.
"That woman isn't your friend anymore, Shai. She's a lost cause. She probably doesn't even know what's wrong with her. Her brain is practically crawling with illegal Sith implants!" His shoulders sank, as he would pull out the item he had been searching for; a blaster pistol, fully prepped for use.
"I...I don't know what else I can do for your friend Shai. This is all I can think of." He looked to the weapon and frowned, perhaps having had done this before in the past.
"I've seen work like this with the GA, there's no fixing it. Even if we got her memories back, they can say a phrase and she'd go back to being their puppet. That's probably what happened to her last time. She's a Sith Sleeper Agent." Aerith, meanwhile, remainded completly oblivious to the conversation the two were about to have.
