Nar Shaddaa/Streets
Afternoon/Clear skies

To say that seeing people be intimidated by her size was satisfying was an understatement. Almost a year's daily exercise and training was certainly paying off for the Shistavanen. Though naturally she kept her new loyalties lowkey. The rest of the galaxy didn't need to know about that at all.

Shai finished wrapping up a deal she got for a swoop gang to deliver some new toys for them. The credits were confirmed to be in her account and she just finished up splitting up the amount in her different accounts. She was quite satisfied to be twenty thousand closer to her goal. One of these days she was going to have the needed amount and with her joining clan Loc, she had a reliable and stable place to return to. It was odd to have a home that wasn't her own ship, but she welcomed the change. It felt fresh, safer even.

She ordered Baby to close the ship up and left for the streets of Nar Shaddaa. With her pistol on her hip and her trusty satchel hanging beside it, she felt pretty safe for a night out. It had been a while since she could go out and have a drink with some people. It would have been better to drag a friend along but unfortunately getting in touch with them was proving to be a bit of a tricky task. Lighting a cigarette, she calmly walked through the streets, enjoying the bustling pathways and vibrant neon signs every step of the way. It felt good to be back in the cities again, to drop back into a groove she was familiar with while also feeling a bit more confident in herself.

In all the time in her life, Aerith couldn't think of a time that she had to build her own armor before. In fact, she couldn't think of a situation that it had ever come into play, but at the same time she couldn't remember much of anything now a days. The repairs that had been done to her body were greatly appreciated, though the thing with implants is that it took times to adjust to them. She was still in that adjustment process, and she wasn't sure how long it would be until she got out of it. Pushing back a lock of blonde hair out of her eyes, Aerith continued her stroll, trying to find a place she might be able to score some Beskar Alloy from.

Hey optical implants searched for a suitable store in her proximity, as well as monitoring holonet posts about independent sellers for said Beskar. Unfortunately, there seemed to be no one that was offering the sale she was looking for. Here she was, a woman with a effectively limitless budget, and no where to put it. It didn't seem like this would be as easy as she had hoped. Not that she really had anything else to do after all, she was just here to load up on gear before she was to be deployed; when that would be, she had absolutely no idea. She did little to hide the dragon tattoo she had adorning her arm, though she was getting a tad annoyed by the side glances she was attracting from several other passerby's, and felt a degree of annoyance building up. Unfortunately, she couldn't make an example of these people, she was under strict orders to not draw attention to herself. So, unfortunately she was just going to have to let it slide, focusing instead on her current mission. Get the goods and get out.

Finishing her cigarette, Shai dropped it to the ground and stomped on the bud before walking on. She had enough of sightseeing for the moment, now she wanted to go to her favourite drinking hole on the planet. Luckily for her it wasn't too far from where she was now. With a content smile, Shai walked on with a song in her heart.

She halted in place, though, when she noticed a woman that looked oddly familiar. She had blonde hair and some different features, but the build, tattoo and eyes was what kept her eyes on the girl. Not by a longshot could it be her. Shai squinted and leaned forward a bt, studying the woman hard for a few seconds before a massive grin formed on her lips. It was her! After simply jumping out and leaving without even a proper goodbye, Shai finally had the chance to thank her properly. Maybe even buy her a drink! She picked up her pace to intercept her before finally clearing her throat.

"Aerith?!" she called out happily as she reached the girl. Her arms swung open as she reached the woman, wrapping an arm around her to pull her into a hug. "It's been ages! You should have told me that you were here." she quipped as she stepped back, looking the girl over. "Man, I love the new hair. You look good with blonde." she complimented her, resting a hand on her hip as she studied her. Though she quickly noticed that something was off with her. The serious look in her eyes, the hard expression... she wasn't having a good day. "You on a job or something?" she asked her with a hint of nervousness, taking a step back to give her some space. The last thing she wanted to do now was blow her cover...

Aerith was in the midst of looking for a supplier, when she heard someone call her name. She turned to find the source, and found someone coming at her head on, and felt arms wrap around her waist, as the stranger began to speak as if she knew the cyborg. She had initially thought the grip was some sort of attack, but the pressure and grip was not correct. An embrace? A form of affection? Aerith had no clue what she had done to earn this. Aerith's muscles tensed, about to push the woman away, only to find she had wisely stepped back. New hair color? She had always been a blonde. Who was this woman? How did she know her? The expression on Aerith's face would display the confusion, as the cyborg tilted her head, her eyes switching to try and detect anomalies in the subject.

Information scrolled across her eyes as the woman spoke, and Aerith began to process it:
Species: Shistavanen
Sex: Female
Age: Adult between ages 25-30.
Anomalies: None detected.

Seeing few changes in the subject, Aerith relaxed, as she would try and ascertain why the woman was here. "I don't believe we've met, where do you know me from?" She questioned, trying to think back to where she might have known this woman from. As she studied the woman, the faintest trace of a sensation provoked curiosity from the cyborg. The faint taste of hot chocolate came to mind, and Aerith couldn't identity why that would be the case. Maybe the woman could explain how they knew one another, or rather how she knew the cyborg.

Shai quickly noticed the confused look on Aerith's face, as well as the twitching of her eyes. Was she... scanning her? Shai blinked in surprise, not really sure what to make of the awkward situation. "Aerith? You okay?" she asked her cautiously. The woman finally spoke up, but Shai wasn't expecting what she said.

A chuckle escaped her as she took a step closer. "We really need to work on your humour, sis." she quipped, reaching into her pocket to pull oit a cigarette. Though as she looked into Aerith's eyes, she realized that she wasnt joking. The smile faltered as a sad gaze filled her eyes. "You... really don't remember me?" she asked her, her lower lip quivering ever so slightly.

An optimistic grin appeared on her face as she pointed to her arms. "Come on, Aerith! You were left for dead on Borosk! I managed to patch you up and get you to a guy that replaced your cybernetics. We even pulled a fast one on those dudes on Nal Hutta!" she explained, looking into her eyes.

Her smile faltered once more as she nibbled on her lower lip. "Don't you remember any of that?" she asked her, hoping that she could somehow get through. Perhaps she just took a knock to the head? If that were the case, she could likely find someone to help. She hoped it was a matter as simple as that...

Seeing that her words had a negative effect on the stranger, Aerith felt a ping of sympathy for the strange woman. "Yes, I'm fine. Just confused as to how you know me." She repeated, and saw a bit of concern play over the strangers face. Had she done something wrong?

The woman seemed to mistake her confusion for a joke, as the casual nature of her comment seemed to indicate such. Shaking her head as the woman inquired to Aerith's knowledge of her identity, the blonde could only shake her head. "You have to be mistaken, I was never deployed to Borosk. I was on injuried reserve up until last week. My unit rebuilt me from the ground up after the Seige of Munnilist." She explained, recalling the memories that she still had access to within her skull. She remembered everything about taking that concussion missile, had damn near killed her too; her squad mates weren't so lucky. "And I've never been to Nal Hutta either. Are....you sure you have the right Aerith?" Seeing the distress this was causing the woman, Aerith began to frown, rubbing the back of her head as she wasn't sure what to really say. "I'm really sorry, none of this is ringing a bell at all. What was your name?" She inquried, hoping maybe hearing the name of this stranger might jog her mind. They didn't mention anything about memory loss during her reconstruction, but at the same time she was laid up during Borosk's invasion, it didn't make a lick of sense to the cyborg. The only thing that even connected with Aerith was the craving of hot chocolate had started to develop as Shai spoke, and it puzzled the cyborg even more as to why that was. Then again, she could just really want some hot chocolate. Unfortunately, she didn't habe alot of time to waste on this, but she was feeling increasingly bad about this whole ordeal. Clearly she had meant something to this woman, and Aerith was drawing a blank on her.

Shai Maji Shai Maji

Aerith explained to her what she remembered, but it didn't make sense to Shai. That was until she mentioned her reconstruction. "From the ground up?" she asked, trying to make sure she was understanding correctly. Could her reconstruction have resulted in a memory wipe? She couldn't believe that. There had to be something left in her brain... there had to be something left of her brain.

"Yes, I'm sure. Nobody else got that tattoo you do. You're the only Aerith I know." she stated with a hint of desperation. Her hopes were slipping more and more. Then came the final question. Shai's heart sank into her gut. She figured it would come, but she desperately hoped that it didnt. "My name's Shai." she said softly, feeling a lump forming in her throat.

She cleared her throat and rubved at her eyes before looking back to her. "I'm sorry I bothered you. I'll... I'll leave you be." she spoke with defeat in her voice. She was utterly crushed. Aerith didn't remember her at all.

Turning away, she slowly started to walk back to the ship while trying to keep her composure in check. With a sniff she brought her commlink to her mouth. "Baby... could you get the hot chocolate ready for me?" she asked her droid as she walked away from what used to be her friend.

Shai's response to her awnsers seemed to just heap on the guilt, as Aerith's shoulders slouched under the implications of what she had done. "Yea, I had combat injuries, there's no way I could have been on Borosk at the time." She reasoned, unsure why the woman was so intent in what she was saying. There wasn't a sign that Shai was lying, she seemed to believe what she was saying. Which only served to confuse the cyborg even further. The words that came from the Shistavanen were like an anchor around her heart, as clearly this woman was devastated by what she was hearing.

As Shai went to leave, Aerith could overhear what the woman was saying, and the mention of hot chocolate brought those sensations back. Reaching out to grab Shai by the wrist, Aerith forced a rather awkward smile as she tried to fix this situation. She had a little bit of time to kill, maybe she could just...try and make this woman feel better, figure out what she was talking about, and not feel so terrible about this whole situation. "Hey, hold on. You're the one with the hot chocolate right? I remember something about that." She half lied, half told the truth, just trying to cheer the woman up. "Can we just...hang out or something? Maybe it'll come back, could just be a memory lapse from my surgery." She tried to explain, fumbling for some reason as to why she didn't know who Shai was.

Shai Maji Shai Maji

As Aerith grabbed hold of her wrist, Shai's free hand instinctively pulled back to deck the woman. But almost immediately her hand lowered as she looked at her. Even with her not remembering her at all, she doubted that she would be able to hurt her. She mentioned remembering the hot chocolate, which brought a sad laugh out of her. "Well, I guess remembering my hot chocolate is better than not remembering anything at all." she commented, looking at the cyborg.

She asked if they could hang out, which seemed to cheer Shai up immensely. She gave a hopeful smile and an affirmative nod. "Sure. We can go back to my ship if you'd like." she offered as she led the way back. It was probably rather comical to see the bulky Shistavanen act so childishly.

Back at her ship, Baby seemed quite happy to see Aerith again, but was just as sorely disappointed by the lack of memory. Shai immediately started to prepare a mug of hot chocolate for herself before looking at Aerith. "Would you like some?" she asked her gently.

With the hot chocolate prepared, Shai sat down by the booth in the kitchen. "What do you remember? Anything about before you got fixed up, why you're here at all, anything like that?" she asked her with concern, trying to figure out what was wrong with the girl.

Shai had decided against landing a strike on the cyborg, which was good on both their parts; last thing Aerith wanted to do was cause a scene and hurt the poor woman. "I'm sorry, it's all I can think about right now." She admitted, feeling a tad embarrassed about the whole ordeal. At least Shai was willing to hear her out, alot of people wouldn't be willing to even allow that. Seeing the smile it brought to the woman's face, Aerith felt the guilt begin to vanish, though she was still going to commit to this operation she was embarking upon. "Sure, I'd be okay with that." Most people probably wouldn't be willing to go into the ship of a stranger, but to Aerith, well...Shai didn't seem the dangerous sort; besides, she seemed pretty cool if nothing else.

Arriving at the ship, Aerith was met with a rather excited droid that Shai had called Baby, but what perturbed her most was how the droid seemed to deflate once Shai informed it that their guest didn't recall it. Aerith found herself becoming increasingly concerned about this. Had she forgotten someone this important to her? If that was the case, then how? Why even? These questions began to tick away at her head, though she didn't have any real way of recalling them. As Shai began to prepare a mug of hot chocolate, the distracted Aerith was quick to agree to a serving as well. "I'd love one, probably stop that craving I was having just now." She chuckled, though inside she was having a mini panic attack about this whole ordeal. A case of mistaken identity was fine, but this seemed to be a bit more than that. If only the stories Shai was telling made any logical sense to her.

Sitting down at the table, Aerith took the mug from her host and stared into it's dark depths, pondering as to the question being posed to her. "I...remember being on Munnilist, and this war mech came at me. My unit fought it off, then it launch a concussion missile and-" She stopped, shaking her head at the violent explosion of images erupted in her minds eye. "It was pretty bad. Thought I was going to die then and there, but medi-evac found me. Got me back to Bastion and patched me up. Had everything stripped out, eyes, ears, arms and legs, all cybernetic implants. Told me I'll probably never have kids, but to be honest a freak like me probably won't live long enough to enjoy them, so no loss really." She took a sip of her hot chocolate, and feeling a strange sense of familiarity here and now; though she couldn't figure out why. "The cyborg thing makes people uncomfortable. When they hold your hand they want warmth, not cold emotionless steel." She said, setting her mug down, flexing her fingers as the heat sensation was having a reaction on her sensor systems. "I'm here to get some supplies for my next assignment, then you happened upon me." Aerith pursed her lips, as another line of questions came to her mind. "Was...I important to you, Shai?" She asked, her voice a bit awkward in the delivery. "It bothers me, seeing how upset you got, and I...don't like it. You being upset that is." She explained, before sitting back and crossing her arms in the booth. Truth be told, she couldn't think of anyone in her life that had shown her much care. She had grown up on the streets, no family, few friends, everything she had she worked for herself. It was a lonely existence to be sure, but...maybe it hadn't always been. If she was important to Shai, and Shai important to her...what else could she be forgetting about? Maybe she needed someone to check her brain implants over again.

Shai Maji Shai Maji

As Shai sipped her hot chocolate, she stared intently at Aerith. She blinked in surprise at the mention of tanking a concussion missile. This girl was hard as nails. She continued on, explaining the repairs done to her as well as an added side effect of the repairs. She gave the woman a sympathetic look but remained quiet, letting her tell her story. The mention of people getting uncomfortable made her eyes go wide. It was the exact same thing she said to her back when she took her to Nal Hutta. She thought for a few moments, trying to remember what it was she said to her. "If they can't handle you being a super awesome 'borg soldier, tell them to kark off." she spoke softly, giving her a sad smile. Even now, she was hoping that something would trigger her memories, but it was likely a foolish hope.

Aerith then asked about their relationship. Shai glanced down at her mug, swirling the contents around a little before sipping at it. "I dunno how important I was to you... but to me, you were pretty special. We only knew each other for a day or two... but it felt like I had a true friend in you." she admitted softly, looking back at her. The more she thought of it, the more she started to think that she was an idiot. Thinking of someone as a best friend after only a day or two, it was pathetic. "My dad always told me that I make friends too easily, never taking time to see if they can be trusted. But I really believed that we had some soft of connection, you feel me?" she commented, taking another sip of her hot chocolate. "I even helped to pay for replacement cybernetics after I found you on Borosk." she admitted, still hoping for a breakthrough.

A sad chuckle escaped her as she looked back at Aerith. "We even chatted about going on a date, 'cause both of us actually met each other on an online dating app." she admitted, snickering away at the memory. But her smile faded pretty quickly as the stinging sensation returned to her heart. "But I guess that doesn't matter much now." she finished softly, gulping down the last of her hot chocolate.

She looked away for a second and cleared her throat, trying to clear her head. She looked back at Aerith, a smile forming on her lips. "What was it that you needed for this assignment of yours? I'd like to help you if I can. Wouldn't want you running late for a mission or whatever." she offered her. It was probably best to move on. Whatever memories or experiences she had with Aerith were gone. Her personality might be the same, but she doubted that she'd be able to make an impression like that again on the girl. But the least she could do was help her out one last time.

Shai's response drew a blank look from the cyborg, as she tilted her head to the side. "'Borg soldier? Huh, haven't heard that one before. I guess being mostly cybernetic is sorta cool I guess." She chuckled, rubbing her chin amused at this new nickname she could roll with. Shai certainly knew about her cybernetics, something most people were blissfully unaware of; the woman certainly knew about Aerith, which was bizarre given how the times didn't match up at all.

Hearing Shai's explanation of their relationship brought a frown to Aerith's face, as she fiddled with a bit of hair she had gotten ahold of. "I can feel you." She replied, head head dropping as she felt unable to look the saddened Shistavanen in the eyes. She wished she knew why she couldn't remember, and why the world had gotten so confusing in the course of one evening. "I don't remember having any friends, or any family truth be told. Everything was just terrible. I joined the military to get off the streets, got trained in heavy weapons. I'm really sorry Shai. I..." She muttered, trailing off as she felt a bit of loss for something she might have had here. If it was possible she had lost some happy memories, then the Empire should have some way of giving them back to her. They made her this way, surely they could undo it; then again asking Sith for help was likely to get you killed. "Initially, I would have written you off as being a crazy person, but...my cybernetics aren't things most people know about." She hesitated for a moment, looking to Shai with a small smile. "Do you know what side is the fleshy one?" She asked, smiling slightly. "I got told the metal side of my face is rather gruesome. I wouldn't know, they didn't let me see it beforehand."

Hearing that Shai mentioned a dating app, Aerith looked at the woman and blinked, tilting her head. "Dating...app? Me?" She muttered, as she went through her cybernetics looking for such an app she might have used. "Shai, do you remember what it was called? I...maybe I can find my old account? Maybe that could help?" She asked, her attention being diverted now to finding this app, though she paused as she noticed Shai putting down her mug. She didn't know what else to say, the connection they might have technically had wasn't going to just come back given the situation, though Aerith was very much so curious what this woman saw in her that was worth pursuing. "Shai, did I leave anything before I left? It just...doesn't seem like a me thing to do, taking off like that." She couldn't think why she could take off like that, or even how Shai could have gotten her off Borosk.

Shai was quick to offer assistance, something that caused Aerith to tense up. She wasn't supposed to let people know what she was doing, her orders had been to be as subtle as possible after all. Then again, how would anyone know? "Well...it's...complicated." She sighed, knowing that telling someone she was a Sith operative was probably going to go badly. "I'm looking for Beskar alloy, I need it for my job." She took a drink from her mug, then sighed. "I don't know anyone who sells the stuff though. Since Mandalore got hit it's been hard to find a seller. Not that I blame them."
Shai Maji Shai Maji

Aerith admitted to never having any friends, but her recalling of the memory seemed... off. She moved past that thought, however, simply enjoying the casual conversation they had going on. She snickered at the mention of being a crazy person, grinning warmly at Aerith. "Wouldn't be the first time someone would have done that." she admitted. Aerith then asked which part was the fleshy part of her face.

Shai shifted around the booth to seat herself right next to Aerith before raising a hand and poking her organic cheek lightly. "Right here." she muttered, gazing at Aerith with her hopeful smile returning. Perhaps some new memories could be made with this new Aerith. "As for your cybernetic side,I think it looked awesome. Made you look like some super badass droid in this movie I saw once." she admitted as she gave her a gentle bump with her shoulder.

The mention of the dating app certainly grabbed her attention. "Sure, one sec." she quipped as she placed her datapad on the table. After a few short moments, she slid the datapad over to Aerith with her profile on display. She scooted away a bit to give her some room while watching with eagle eyes for any sign of memories returning. When Aerith asked for anything she left behind, Shai got up and brought the pistol she left het, placing it on the table by her. "You left me this. A goodbye gift or something. I figured it was better than nothing at all." she explained softly as she stared at the pistol theb back at Aerith.

Aerith finally mentioned what it was that she was looking for, making Shai go stiff.she had Beskar. She had a bunch of it, actually. Despite giving away almost all of it to Kragr, she still had enough for several people. She stared at Aerith then looked away in contemplation. The Beskar wasn't meant for just anyone, she kept it to help Mandos she met along the way. But then again, this wasn't just anyone. This was Aerith! Even with lost memory, she wouldn't use it for bad stuff, right? "I can help with that, actually." she admitted, smiling warmly at her. "I got a stash of the stuff I stole off a smuggler a while back. I can give you some." she offered her, pressing herself slightly against Aerith.

She motioned for her to follow as she made her way to the cockpit, starting the ship up. In no time at all they were in hyperspace. Shai finally sat back and relaxed, letting Baby take control. She studied Aerith for several seconds, thinking of what she was planning tocsay was a good idea. "Aerith... how badly do you want your old memories back?" she asked her softly. "I know a guy. He's a doctor that knows a lot about cybernetics. Actually the same guy that fixed you up last time. If you want, we can go see him and see if he could maybe recover something?" she offered her gently.

Aerith turned bright red as Shai poked at her organic side, looking away as Shai shared her thoughts of Aerith's more mechanics side. Being shown the dating app, Aerith's eyes widened as she could see an almost exact duplicate of herself albeit with black hair. It was like she had found a twin sister she hadn't known, and even her name and likes were almost identical. Who the hell was she? As that question thundered within her head, Shai set the handgun on the table, prompting a look of recognition to cross the cyborgs face. "An SR-92? I left this here?" She asked, reaching and taking up the weapon, finding the weapon to be a perfect fit for her, even down to the grip. "This is my favorite blaster model, it kicks like a Bantha and has enough fire power to drop a Rancor. Love this thing." Inspecting the weapon, Aerith found her name scratched into the slide of the weapon, as well as with a service code aside it. Blinking, she gave the code a scan, and found it to match NIO service numbers. Concern quickly played across Aerith's face, as she set the weapon down and pushed it away without another word.

Shai stating she knew where to get Beskar distracted from the revelation of the NIO code by her name, prompting a smile from the woman. She had missed out on Shai's display of hesitation, instead catching the awnser that the woman had provided her. "You can? That's fething fantastic! How much do I owe you? I got tons of credits to cover it." She offered, though she went stiff as a board when Shai leaned into her. Being close to others wasn't something she was used to, and displays such as this were far too uncommon for her to grow used to them.

As Shai mentioned her forward, Aerith hadn't counted on being shunted into space one bit. Her employer was going to be livid if they found out, but that depended on if they ever found out; something Aerith wasn't keen on letting happen. She tried to conceal her concern with leaving the world on such short notice, but so long as they were quick about this delivery nothing bad would happen.

Taking a seat in the co-pilot chair, Aerith wasn't sure how to respond to Shai's question. The question of seeing someone to fix her memory issues brought up a series of questions for Aerith, as she grimaced and looked away from Shai. There was so much that could go wrong, one of which was having some sign of her sith loyalties remerging. "I....don't know. Do you think he can do anything? Like...how good is this guy? Neurological implants aren't something you can mess with." Shai could most likely detect Aerith was concerned about other things, though what that was she wouldn't be so forthcoming about it. Sighing, Aerith knew she was going to be in a world of trouble for this as she looked to Shai. "How much do you trust this guy?" She felt like she was about to make a terrible decision here.

Shai Maji Shai Maji

To Shai's disappointment, the blaster didn't trigger anything. But she tried not to let it get to her as she flashed a grin. "Yeah, it's really fun. Had some fun with it the other day at a shooting range. I was planning on giving it back to you if I managed to find you again. So... there you go." she admitted. Though Aerith seemed rather disturbed by the gun. Shai left it on the table in case she changed her mind. It was a solid weapon, after all.

Aerith offered to pay for the Beskar, immediately grabbing the attention of Shai's greedy side. For a few moments she thought about if before looking at Aerith, snickering at her visible discomfort. "You can relax around me. I don't bite unless you ask nicely." she quipped, flashing her a wink. "As for the Beskar... I'll think it over. Depends on how much you need, obviously." she admitted. She stayed close to her, despite her discomfort. It helped Shai to relax in a way. But Aerith finally got her personal space back when Shai sat in the pilot's seat of her ship.

She looked up from the dashboard towards her friend as she voiced her concerns over her contact. She knew that wasn't the only thing that bothered her. In truth, Shai was also nervous. She knew Aerith's past was sketchy, with the mention of Sith training, fighting for the NIO, and now fighting for the Sith again without any memory of the former stuff. She didn't want to force her into a spot only to see her get hurt. "Oh, he's good. He used to be in the GA if I remember correctly, but he got kicked out due to some rather sketchy experiments on people. From what I found out last time he worked on you, he was pretty familiar with your hardware." she admitted, getting her mind back to the task at hand. Aerith was worried about whether the guy could be trusted, but Shai merely gave her a reassuring smile. "He can be trusted, don't you worry. There's a reason the Hutts look after him like he's some godsend. He's also helped me and my mom out a lot in the past with stuff. I don't go to anyone else." she stated confidently.

Her smile disappeared, though, as she looked at Aerith. "This only depends on if you wanna do it. It's definitely risky and I don't know what you went through before getting rebuilt. If you wanna skip on it, it's fine." she assured Aerith, not wanting to force her into this. "At the end of the day... I'll still try to be your friend. Memories or no memories." she confessed, taking a hold of her hand to give it a squeeze.

Aerith was quick to put the gun out of her mind, knowing that as nice as it was, the fact her name was on an NIO weapon concerned her in a way she couldn't quantify.

The comment about not biting unless asked caused Aerith's face to light up to a new shade of crimson, as the assassin looked a bit wide eyed at the woman in question. "Is...that...so...?" Aerith stuttered, not used to someone being so forward with her about these sorts of things. Shai gave a comment about judging the price based on what Aerith needed, which was fine; she only needed enough for repairs and creation of the suit. "Well, don't worry about the costs. I promise I can afford it." She was rather curious as to why Shai kept so close to her, though she breathed a sigh of relief as the woman gave her some personal space via taking the pilot chair.

Shai's affirmation that the man was legitimate didn't sit well with Aerith, not that she didn't trust Shai, but rather didn't trust the man's GA ties. "Was he now? That's....something I suppose." If he had reportedly worked on her before and didn't have any issues with her gear, then there shouldn't be any issues with it.

She wanted to get better, remember Shai as she had before, but it wasn't something she could be certain would end well for either of them. "No, I want to remember you Shai. I just...don't know what else I'm going to learn about myself today." She replied, her voice sounding a tad concerned, as truth be told she wasn't sure how to really process this sort of thing. She just found out that she very well could be missing most of her life and not even know it, and the reasons as to why? Well, that was even more troubling to her. Her mind had wandered away, only being brought back to sense when Shai squeezed her hand. Looking to the woman, Aerith brought an uneasy smile to her face, trying to sound reassuring as she spoke. "I appreciate that Shai, really." She looked down, feeling her shoulders grow heavy for a moment as she began to grasp just what awaited her. "Yea, lets go see the guy. I'd like to get this settled and over with."

Aerith insisted that they could go through with the operation. Shai gave a nod before turning to alter the coordinates for their destination. "Off to Nal Hutta, then." she muttered as she aat back, letting the ship carry them away.

She looked back at Aerith for a second, giving her a warm smile. "It's gonna turn out alright. I'm sure of it." she reassured her, trying to break the visible concern her friend was feeling. With a chuckle she turned back to stare into the void. "You know, you got an adorable blushing face, you know that?" she commented, smiling back at her.

After a short while they arrived on Nal Hutta. Her ship touched down and Shai quickly checked her effects before leading the way to the boarding ramp. With a short walk they arrived at the doctor's building with Shai leading her in. "Ah, Shai! What a pleasant surprise. And I see you brought your friend again. You'll have to excuse me, I seemed to have forgotten your name." the doctor greeted them from his desk in the front of the building.

"Quiet day, doc?" Shai asked him, earning a nod from the doctor. "For once people seem to behave civilly on this planet. But let's not jinx it too quickly, the day's still young." he commented, glancing around then back to them. "What can I do you for, kid?" he asked Shai, who gave Aerith an optimistic grin.

"I'll let her explain." she spoke as she took a step back, letting Aerith take the lead on this. She stuck close tocher, though, trying to give her some sense of comfort. Though insidebshe was starting to stress about this ordeal as well.

Seeing as they were going to Nal Hutta, Aerith nodded quietly, fumbling with her hands as the ship lurched forward and carried the pair to their destination. She didn't respond at first to Shai's comment about it working out okay, but being called adorable made the cyborg want to melt through the floor panels of the ship. "N-No, you're the first one who has told me that. Thanks..." Aerith replied, turning to look at the woman who had apparently done so much for her, and yet Aerith had no way to repay her. Shai was trying to hard to make sure she wasn't freaking out, and yet Aerith couldn't help but to freak out. How could she not with everything going on?

Reaching down on the world, Aerith had absolutely no memory of having come to this planet to begin with. As far as she knew, this was her first time on the Hutt world, and yet according to Shai they had gotten wrapped up in business here. She didn't say much as the pair traveled to see this doctor, rather Aerith was horrified at the stench of this place, trying to fathom why it reminded her of the sewer tunnels she navigated through when she was young. Entering the clinic, she had expected to see a familiar face, or perhaps she was just hoping a tad too much. The man who greeted them seemed to know Shai, and apparently Aerith as well, though he didn't seem to recall her name. The cyborg stood awkwardly as the pair talked, trying to think of what to say, before Shai threw her on the spot. Aerith looked wide eyed at the pair, blinking several times before she could finally muster up something akin to the dilema they were facing. "I...think I'm suffering from memory loss. I have no memory of meeting you, or Shai, or anything that Shai has told me about. I know I had some surgery done in the last few months, but memory loss wasn't covered under that." Aerith muttered to herself for a moment, before shaking her head, trying to convince herself that she couldn't trust her Sith officers to tinker with her brain; they had messed up once, they could very well do so again. "Shai said you might be able to help me, so that's why we are here." The doctor nodded to himself, hearing what Aerith had to say, before looking to Shai. "Alright, well, if it's a brain implant we need to sedate her and take a look. Shouldn't take too long to see the problem." He stood up, motioning the pair towards the door, and would lead them into the familiar settings of his office; or familiar to Shai at least. Aerith was a mess of nerves and worry, as she sat on the table and allowed the doctor to set her up for the proceedure. It was painless thankfully, just a few ivs, a numbing shot, and the blonde soon found herself slipping into a deep sleep. Once the woman was out, the cybernetics expert went to work.

The doctor set to work, allowing Shai to watch if she so wished, as he took a scanning device and placed it above Aerith's head. He began to fiddle with the device, though Shai could only see strange shapes appearing on the screen, which would look like nonsense to her without the context. After several moments of checking, the doctor's face would begin to grow more and more concerned, until he finally stood up and walked away from his patient. He shook his head several times, looking back to Aerith, then towards a drawer her had in the corner. He said nothing at first, ignoring whatever Shai would ask him, before erupting in a statement that the woman probably didn't want to hear. "Shai, what in the hell did you bring her here for? She even has tracking software in her!" He pulled out the drawer of a cabnit, and began reaching through it looking for something. Aerith laid abondoned in the operating chair, though the doctor seemed to have something else on his mind as he moved with a fervor. "I can't fix this, I can't do anything other than put her out of her misery." He muttered, shaking his head as if refusing something, his voice sounding distraught. He stopped what he was doing, looking to Shai with a looked that had witnessed something horrifying. "That woman isn't your friend anymore, Shai. She's a lost cause. She probably doesn't even know what's wrong with her. Her brain is practically crawling with illegal Sith implants!" His shoulders sank, as he would pull out the item he had been searching for; a blaster pistol, fully prepped for use. "I...I don't know what else I can do for your friend Shai. This is all I can think of." He looked to the weapon and frowned, perhaps having had done this before in the past. "I've seen work like this with the GA, there's no fixing it. Even if we got her memories back, they can say a phrase and she'd go back to being their puppet. That's probably what happened to her last time. She's a Sith Sleeper Agent." Aerith, meanwhile, remainded completly oblivious to the conversation the two were about to have.

The doctor wasted no time in getting to work. Shai walked behind Aerith and pulled a seat closer to sit next to Aerith as the doctor got to work on prepping her for the operation. She took hold of her hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze as the sedatives started to do their job.

She stayed like that as the doctor scanned her systems. She tried to figure out what he was looking at but gave up on it. It was nothing like working on droids. She started to grow concerned, however, as the doctor's face darkened more and more. Eventually he just stepped away and started digging through a drawer. "Doc?" she spoke up as she looked up at him. She blinked in surprise as he snapped at her, not expecting that at all. "Hey, how was I supposed to know that?! I dunno what's going on inside her head." she defended herself as she glanced at Aerith. A tracking beacon might be a problem. "Can't you remove it or something?" she asked him, but he merely kept on looking for something.

He finally stopped with whatever he was doing and faced her, dropping a rather unsettling comment. "The kark you mean? She's not dying, she's jjst got memory issues!" she defended Aerith as she stood up, facing the doctor fully. Worry crept onto her face when he elaborated, though it quickly shifted as he drew a pistol. Instinctively she drew her own, taking aim at his head. "Drop the gun, doc." she ordered him with a slow shake of her head. She took a step to the side, placing herself between him and Aerith.

He explained the situation to her but Shai merely shook her head. "You're not gonna kill her, doc. Do something else for her! Can't you figure out what the secret code is or just disable that system entirely?! Anything else!" she pleaded as her eyes started to tear up.

She glanced at Aerith for a quick moment then looked back to the doctor, still keeping her gun on him. "Please, doc. I don't wanna lose my friend again. Do something else for her." she begged him as she lowered her pistol, not wanting to hurt her old friend.

The doctor merely looked at Shai and shook his head, seeing that the woman was aiming a weapon towards him. "Shai, you don't understand. Parts of her brain have been replaced, there's nothing to fix. Hell, she's hardly even human anymore." Setting the blaster aside, the man gave Shai a stern look, seeing as how she wasn't understanding what he was trying to say. "Shai, think about this. Think long and hard." He pointed towards Aerith, his eyes locking onto Shai's as he spoke. "She's Sith. She has no control over her mind, they say one word and she could very well try to kill you. Is that what you want?" Shaking his head, the man moved past Shai, focusing on the device angled above Aerith's head, as he would display the image onto the wall ahead of the woman.

The image it would project was an overhead layout of Aerith's brain, but at first glance it was obvious something was wrong. Several sections of her brain were dotted with implants and metal fragments, making the woman's brain look almost like a computer chip more than a vital organ. "Do you see all that Shai? That's not something I can fix. I mess with that, she can die, be brain dead, develop mental disabilities, the possibilities go on." He rattled on, slamming his hand against the wall in frustration, as Shai wasn't seeing his point. "There is nothing else. You are asking me to destroy her brain and ensure she's still intact. I..." He paused, taking in a breath, before moving towards the still comatose Aerith. "Shai, there's nothing I can do to help her. She's going to have to live with this for the rest of her life." He looked to the woman again, his expression showing he took no joy in this what so ever. "I've had patients like her before Shai, all you can do is end their suffering. I'm not trying to be cruel but...." He gestured to the image again. "Her owner didn't leave that much intact for me to work with."
