Rebuilding The Order's Library

Having finally returned to the public front, Cyril is intent on helping the order get back to its former state.

Currently he's resolved to gather whatever holocrons he can and store them aboard the Chimaera so that they will be open to use by the Jedi without the risk of a Sith raid. Eventually these holocrons will be transitioned to whatever standing Jedi library is left once the constant war has calmed down to an acceptable level.

I'm wanting to build a greater library on one of the more defended Republic worlds -- a library not known to the majority of the Republic to serve as a repository for forbidden knowledge. I was intent on having the Chimaera serve as this mobile library, but I've also planned to make that ship a place for the Jedi Shadows to operate out of and that presents a conflict of interest.

If anyone wants to help me find a place for/build this library and hunt down a few holocrons or other artifacts of historical significance, then feel free to sign up.

If there are any holocrons that are currently unclaimed and you believed we should target them, then post and they will be added to the list. When this comes to the close, our repository of knowledge should be far more advanced than it was prior.

List of targeted holocrons

Holocron of Darth Krayt: Being secured by Cyril Grayson and [member="Saran Drast"] on Tatooine. (Permission to obtain claimed artifact given by [member="Iratus Palpatine"].)

Holocron of Qui-Gon-Jinn: [member="Veiere Arenais"] and Cyril Grayson will be setting out to find this holocron in the near future.

Holocron of Exar Kun: Cyril Grayson, [member="Dune Rhur"], [member="Jaster Starfallen"], [member="Arisa Yune"]ave, and [member="Thema Csapla"] have been sent to retrieve this holocron.

Holocron of Mace Windu: [member="Zator Carr"] is confirmed to be going after this holocron. This venture is his to control, though I'm sure he'll be looking for people to join him.

there are several libraries for the jedi with an AI to prevent one location being raided. Given how the order can no longer hold artifacts a repository of knowledge becomes difficult to impossible since if someone holds the holocron and leaves they automatically remove said holocrons or artifacts with them.

However there is a library constructed on Yutan doing the dominion and faction threads to set up the temple
There is a larger archives being built on Denon which is being converted into a fortress world

[member="Sheila"] - If folks don't leave, then you keep the artifacts within the Order. We're all civil, I figure compromises can be made.

Yutan is the Republic capital and far too obvious of a place to keep the more dangerous holocrons. The fortress world on Denon may work as a stand-in for now.

[member="Cyril Grayson"] I was actually talking to someone else the other day about working on some development towards a new ship to act as a mobile library, among other things. As often as Jedi sites are attacked, and with our history of moving capitals, I think a mobile solution would be best for holding our most sensitive artifacts, and acting as a storage backup for our network of libraries across the GR and beyond. People would be free to deposit their own items here for safe keeping, but it wouldn't be required. Anything found or crafted by the Order as a group should go there, though.

[member="Sheila"] What is this AI unit you're talking about? Something like this would be handy for the ship.

[member="Suravi Teigra"] yes

Sasori was involved in the construction of the Yutan temple, it is working on the reconstruction of Denon's academy, they are reconstructing the first temple and making in secret a jedi fortress world where Quiet will hold her main core and archives she has been assembling from holocrons matsu has found and accessed as well as archives like mical's secret one and the font

[member="Cyril Grayson"] I'd be up for some holocron retrieval so tag me in.

[member="Sheila"] Okay, I just wanted to double check. I recall reviewing Hellcat myself while I was still a factory judge, where I told you to make sure this was limited to Sasori related facilities.

Arisa has a holocron you can use.

I'll have the thread up when I wake up tomorrow. I had planned to tonight, but it's late and I'm tiiiired.

Just a thought man, might be a good idea to link the threads in your initial post if possible. Just to make it easier for admin and others to track them and know what's been done and who's already claimed or found what holocron.
