Reclaiming our Heritage.....Tapestries (mission sign-up)

Hello All,

A while back we began a mission to reclaim the Heritage Tapestries. I regret to say this mission never really got off the ground.

Now with the development of the Academy network, I thought it a good idea to get it started once more. The Heritage Tapestries hung in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant and depicted historic moments in the Jedi. Regardless of whether you are Levantine, Silver Jedi, independent or from the Republic, we all come from the same beginning. These tapestries speak of our past and that they have been lost for so long is a tragedy!

So what I'd like to know is (1) who would be interested in being involved in this mission, and (2) what sort of story-line for the discovery we would like to follow.

As pertains to (1) I think it would be excellent if we could get a good representation of the various orders! As pertains to (2) I had thought something along the lines of the tapestries were smuggled off the ruins of Coruscant following the One Sith invasion and have been sold on the blackmarket to a not-so-good individual.

I am of course open to suggestions on this front! We could have NPC enemies or we could perhaps convince some players to provide friendly competition.

Any thoughts?

I think the idea that they are in the hands of someone not so good is a good idea.

Would we have it still be in One Sith territory or somewhere else?

It depends on what we want as far as opposition. I'm sure if we wanted to meet up with the One Sith we could place them in One Sith territor (with their permission) or we could set them in a neutral area and get other forms of resistance.

I'd love to join in on this. And if sold to a not-so-good individual I got the impression of them being on display on the villains estate as a rich bad guy would probably love putting them on display. Though this might turn the mission into more of a heist like scenario. I just wanted to toss the idea out

Yeah, not even Veino can argue that isn't the case. Sounds like fun, and something in which Veino's talents and contacts can be very useful for.

Give me a day or two to set up a premise for it. I'm thinking we'll open the thread with Kian making contact with Veino to see if his contacts have any information on the Heritage Tapestries and that will lead into a meeting between all participants on the Gnost Dural where we will come up with a game plan for the mission.

With a large number of people such as this, it might be necessary to split into groups for objectives. I'll think it over and suggestions are welcome!

Ok, because of the large numbers of people interested in this, I've split it into two missions in which we will claim two tapestries in each. Below are the objectives and the two missions along with my suggestions on team breakdown.

If anyone really wishes to switch to another objective I'm fine with that. I'll be posting the missions today and tagging everyone in them.

Mission 1: A stroll in the den of thieves
Objective: Infiltrate the smugglers base, apprehend criminals, and confiscate heritage tapestries (one depicts the life of Jedi Master Obi Wan Kenobi, the other of Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker)
Location: Shulstine V

Mission 2: Rage against the dying of the light
Objective: Infiltrate the space station and steal heritage tapestries (two depicting the Great Hyperspace War)

EDIT: It has been pointed out that the Heritage Tapestries likely wouldn't have survived the destruction of Coruscants temple. I've reached out to the Sith in charge of said destruction to see what they have to say.

If it turns out it is unlikely they would have survived then I'll turn this into a different relic hunt. So for now the thread won't mention the tapestries just "jedi relics"
